Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

Overall, outreach is fairly easy to use. However, I do find it somewhat difficult and time-consuming to set up a new sequence and get a customer list imported. There are several steps that you need to follow to accomplish this. Everything else is fairly easy. i.e. logging calls and synching with Salesforce
We use it in Marketing, as well as sales. I use Outreach to prospect new clients and follow up with clients when they do not respond. Further, I use it to log all of my calls into Salesforce. Marketing uses outreach for lead generation and top of funnel leads. It is a great program.
  • Logging calls/activities into Salesforce
  • Creating custom sequences to reach out to customers
  • Follow up with customers that have gone dark
  • Log emails when there isn't a contact for an opportunity
  • Make it easier to set up a sequence. Maybe some custom templates to use
  • Tasks synch with salesforce tasks
  • (Positive) Our sales team gets more leads by targeting a large number of people
  • (Negative) There is concern that we are burning through leads because of this "shotgun" approach
  • (Positive) We were able to retire another program that we used to log calls into salesforce
Overall, I liked Cirrus better for integration with SalesForce, however, it is nice to retire a program which helps make our job(s) a bit easier.
Outreach works well when people are trying to reach a lot of people, and follow up when you do not get a response. However, outreach does not do so well when you want a custom email that is specific to an organization. I use outreach when I want to contact a lot of people (less customized)
