Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

We use Paycor for scheduling and Payroll services. We are a medium sized veterinary practice with multiple departments, so scheduling can be diffiult. Paycor allows us to schedule by department as well as by the entire organization. Utilizing Paycor allowed for much more organization on scheduling for both management and employees. Employees can request and view their time off, their schedule, and their hours clearly as well as view their team's schedule as needed. Management can easily access and manage all time off and scheduling.

Having scheduling and Payroll rolled into one system has made both things much more efficient. Time sheets are easily managed and matched to the employee's schedule to ensure eveyrthing is accurate. Both scheduling and Payroll are much easier and efficient.
  • Scheduling for management is well organized and easily visualized to ensure proper coverage while avoiding overtime or being over staffed.
  • Scheduling for the employees is user friendly. Employees can easily request and view their time off. They can also view their schedule along with their team's at any time.
  • Payroll is very streamlined. With scheduling and Payroll in the same system, everything can be quickly verified for accuracy. All time sheets are kept within the system and then easily processed for Payroll.
  • Some of the reporting can be difficult to navigate.
  • Time off remaining for employees can be a bit confusing in the beginning. The way Paycor calculates time off remaining, it deducts any approved upcoming time off, which can be misleading for employees trying to determine how much time they truly have remaining in the moment.

Our HR and/or payroll team has saved 1-25 hours per month. - Our previous Payroll processor required a great deal of manual input. While Paycor does require some manual input, it has greatly reduced the amount. We were manually entering hours as well as other information such as deductions. Since Paycor is connected to the time sheets, all time information is automated. Most Payroll information with Paycor is automated and easily processed. Pay history is more readily available for quicker and simpler pay increase evaluation.
Overall, Paycor from a managment standpoint is quite user friendly. Day-to-day tasks such as time sheet approvals, time request off management, and processing Payroll are quick and easy. The reporting can be a bit tedious and is not very intuitive.
Paycor from an employee user standpoint is also overal fairly user friendly. It is easy to view your schedule and your team's. Time off request are easy to submit and review. Reviewing remaining time off can be confusing and could use improvement. We find employees frequently needing to confirm their remaining time off when submitting new time off requests.
We utilized ADP in the past and were not satisfied with the services provided. There was a large amount of manual entry required for Payroll processing and we were not impressed with their options for benefits management or timekeeping. We found Paycor offered a better service and seemed to be a better value for the price. We did not utilize Paychex, but did evaluate it. Paycor was a better match for what we were looking for in a program.
Paycor is well suited for a business that it looking for one program that can handle scheduling and Payroll all in one. It does have capability to monitor employee progress, reviews, tasks, etc. We have not been able to get this functionality implemented will at our business as of yet. It would be well suited for a medium to large size organization. Depending on the structure of the organization, it may be more than what a smaller business with only a few employees would need.
