Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is more user-friendly than our previous HRMS, once the workflows are set up it makes things much easier than the platform we swapped from. It is also nice to have training in the same platform. The community page is awesome when used as well. I'm not a huge fan of the tablets as timeclocks as they cannot be hardwired in and the wifi in our area is spotty at best. I'm very grateful they finally got the automatic missed punch correction request worked out. I wish they would get the benefit balance feature worked out to match our policies.
- Schedule feature makes needing to correct missed punches a breeze
- Community feature is a great way to bring members at the same location and across the company together
- Benefits module is easy for members to use even if they do not have lots of tech skills
- Love that the learning module is integrated rather than a separate platform
- Workflows makes updates to positions and payrates a breeze
- Some reporting details are incorrect, Paylocity responded they were aware and it might be fixed but they were not sure where they were in the process
- Customer service reps change often
- We were encouraged to use tablets as timeclocks and they disconnect from wifi often so it causes need for manual corrections to timecards
- Benefit balances for paid sick time cannot be programmed to match our policy where members are allowed to use a certain number of hours but still continue to accrue sick time year round which leads to additional manual checks
- Paylocity has reduced the amount of manual work that has to be done on the backside week to week to manage skill level and pay changes
- Paylocity has helped to make schedules known throughout the plant
- Paylocity eliminated the need to have a separate platform for training purposes which helped to reduce costs
The setup process was very slow but overall Paylocity has eliminated some of the busy work for HR functions. Payroll is a fairly simple process now that the punch correction has been automated as long as the schedules are set up correctly. The report function does help us maintain compliance with training. We will be utilizing the journal function more regularly for training and development moving forward.
These tools are under used by our teams due to the nature of our business, many of our team members do not log onto a computer more than once a month. Use of the app is hit or miss as we have a span of all generations in our plant. I think these features would have a very positive impact if used more often.
Paylocity workflows are much more user-friendly than Paycom. Visually it is more appealing. It has been nice to have one platform that support HR, Payroll and Training functions in one place. The schedule feature is also useful working in manufacturing because it allows supervisors on different shifts to easily identify who should be at work when.
