Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I process a weekly payroll using Paylocity. I approve and manage timesheets and PTO inputted by employees. I also, run reports to post payroll related journal entries into our GL/Accounting system.

No much, we are mainly using payroll, timesheets and time off functions. They have very good reports, you just have to know what you are looking for. They have made the processing of payroll, reviewing and checking easier and quickly. Also more accurately payrolls. Easy to fix/correct errors before processing the payroll.
Not much, not using most, if any of these functions.
They are all basically the same. They stack up pretty well against each other.

We selected Paylocity because they told us they could provide what we needed. They didn't have first and we had to overall our jobs and cost code system to match/work with their system. After several trial and errors we were able to get to point that their reports via Excel can work with or accounting system/Sage. Since not perfect but workable.

When you have an issue/problem and you call in for assistance. Someone is always available and quick to help you with the issue to the best of their ability.

What I don't like is that previously you had a dedicated manager, now all the help desk representatives are managers and you don't a specific manager for your account.

Using Paylocity

282 - Payroll, timesheets, PTO. All related payroll functions. Reports for company wide distribution.

It works for now, it gets the job done but there could be improvements.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - Paychex and some other systems that we used to onboard new employee. Now we can use Paylocity to replace these other systems.

They were able to provide what we needed at the time that our previous system was not able to provide.
We would have asked for more testing of what they were promising.

Using Paylocity

Overall Paylocity is not hard to use. It is very straight forward and easy to learn how to use. They also have a knowledge base that is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. There help desk is also very helpful in pointing you in the right direction of what you are looking for.

Paylocity Reliability

The system works as it should mostly. It is able to handle the processing of large payrolls and provide support where and when needed.
They are always there when you need them. Their help desk is mostly helpful when you need them. Although sometimes you get different answers/solutions from different personnel when you call them.
Their performance is very good overall. The pages do load quickly and reports are completed in a reasonable time frame. Except for very big files which is understandable. We currently don't have Paylocity integrated with any of our other systems. The only issue is that recently they replaced a lot of reports that worked perfectly with reports that don't provide the same data that we need/were getting before. Having to run 2 reports to get the data that one of the old report was able to provide. Sometimes change is not needed and if it isn't broke no need to fix it. The old reports were great.
