Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Paylocity to process three different payrolls for recruitment, benefits, and onboarding. I have begun the process of implementing Expenses.
  • Payroll process is very user friendly.
  • Reporting options work well.
  • Support staff are very helpful.
  • Implementation assistance is subpar. I did not receive a notification or any assistance when implementing Expenses, and have had it for 21 days and have not used it.
  • Assistance with the set up of benefit parameters for open enrollment needs to improve. I received no emails initially, and the spreadsheet was not user-friendly or easy to follow.
  • Reduced errors.
  • Better data driven analysis.
  • Easy eeo visibility.
It definitely allows more time for higher value objectives and strategic meetings & planning since it reduces the time to enroll employees in benefits and process payroll.
I have not used these tools.
Paylocity is by far more user-friendly for our staff as well as easier for our administrators to move between modules and applications. I wish I did have the option to "impersonate users" in Paylocity like I can in Bswift.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Novatime (discontinued), Kronos Workforce Dimensions / UKG Dimensions (discontinued), Workday Human Capital Management
I think once the setup is done, it can be used as a full-service HRIS; it's the set up that I have found to be cumbersome without much support.

61 - Managers and employees ranging from shipping/receiving clerks to the CEO and President.
2 - Computer aptitude, basic HR knowledge can be helpful, but most of the system seems to be pretty intuitive.

Very user friendly; easy to reach support.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - Concur - very expensive.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Cost
I would ask more detailed questions about the implementation process.

Paylocity Implementation

I think someone should reach out and let you know the module has been added as well as provide you an overview about configuring the module.
Yes - The only thing that has been separate is the expense module.
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Ask more questions about the implementation process and support with set-up.
  • No direction.
  • No notice that the product was located on platform.

Paylocity Support

When I reach out for issues, they have been very responsive. I have not, however, had any contact with the implementation team or assistance with the setup of the new module and that is extremely disappointing!
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
No escalation required
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
I did not know that was an option, so no.

Using Paylocity

Once it is set up, I think it is very user-friendly. However, setting up the expense module has not been easy.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Well integrated
Consistent
Quick to learn

Feel confident using
Lots to learn
  • Payroll.
  • Looking up employee info.
  • Pulling up pay stubs, w-2s, etc.
  • Setting up the expense module.
