Overall Satisfaction with Procore
As a general contractor, we utilize Procore as our project management system in our office and out on the job site. We use it across our entire organization - project management, accounting, supervision, safety, etc. One of the biggest problems it addresses is connecting the on-site supervision to the project manager and estimator's attention in a timely manner. Our favorite benefit is the push for proof and documentation that the program provides. Procore pushes us to be better at managing every little aspect of our jobs and meeting our goals of completing projects in a timely, budget efficient, and safe manner.
- Emails through Procore help organize your email per project. This is a benefit, because it allows us to email project specific items quickly, and maintain an organized log of contacts to subcontractors, owners, architects, etc.
- Contract/purchase order creation is quick and efficient. Procore's ability to customize our contracts and purchase orders, as well as the DocuSign integration allows us to create, distribute, and receive contracts back in a timely manner.
- Mobile device compatibility is a huge benefit - it is easy to navigate and all of our superintendents take full advantage.
- Loading and downloading can take hours when there are a lot of users using the site at a time.
- Downloading multiple docs requires that you wait for an email notification that this download is ready.
- The bidding tool is not as useful as the Building Connected bidding tool.
- Our project managers and clients are able to receive an overview of the site, daily, without having to step foot on the job site.
- We are much better at project management of documents.
I was not part of the process to choose Procore, but certain clients have required us to use their project management systems, and we have not found anything that surpasses Procore. Project Mates is one PM system we have to use regularly for another client and it is frustrating to use when comparing it to how easy Procore has been for us.
