Procore is a gateway into future Construction Management
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is used for drawing management, inspections, observations and photo storage. It is becoming a common tool in construction projects. However, supportive departments like building equipment and financial departments, are yet to implement. Same goes for the earthwork department.
It addresses non-compliance instances; it reveals the number of drawings issued in each project.

Pros
- Drawing processing is the biggest strength.
- Ease of use and how quickly field staff adapts to using the application on smartphones.
- Easily adapted to Icelandic building methods.
Cons
- Firstly, Procore does not speak Icelandic. Secondly, to run/operate the same project in various languages at the same time would be beneficial.
- Drawing processing adapting to the Icelandic best design practices. Icelandic/European drawing headers are not understood by Procore.
Procore stacks up due to the fact that is designed as a top-down tool, meaning it chases the reasons behind selecting, i.e. a door in a project, how the designers and client approved on a door. Other programs reviewed are Northern European programs focused on field staff and how the door is installed and finished -- not who bought the door and decided upon the color.
Not fully known or experienced yet.
- It is a too short time from implementation in the project I manage to evaluate fully. I implemented Procore in the project in October of 2018.
- Gain visibility into projects
- Ensure information is accessible and up to date
- Document job site conditions
- Report on incidents and inspections
- Identify job site risks
Visibility and transparency into all projects that have implemented the same tools from Procore.
