Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online Advanced
I use QuickBooks Online Advanced for all of the financial components in our organization. The company is a spec manufacturing company and cost accounting requires the tracking of multiple inputs in the manufacturing of each product. QuickBooks Online Advanced allows us to keep track of the many components from inventory to labor in order to create a better understanding of how the business is functioning and running.
- Allows us to track the inventory for each job.
- Allows us to track the labor hours needed to produce each product.
- Allows us to track the outside vendors and components for each job.
- Old data has been archived and shows up in reports. There is an easy workaround but it would be nicer if it didn't have to be done.
- Job costing is not direct but needs to worked on in order to gather the needed data.
- I would love to see the availability of reporting by custom report parameters and custom data labels.
- Has allowed the business to better track expenses.
- Has allowed the business to better determine accurate pricing.
- Has allowed the business to better understand the costs associated with outside vendors.
Transferring data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online Advanced was easy. It was really nice to have access to experts on any problems or issues that came up from time to time, such as incorrectly entering a payroll date or adjusting some data after it has been entered and submitted.
The primary reason for getting QuickBooks Online Advanced was so that QuickBooks could be used in a remote location 2500 miles from the office. It has been trouble-free and all transactions have gone very smoothly. This includes automatic payments and payroll and transactions that needed to be done correctly without any glitches or errors.
It does not directly address business or specific industry needs. There are probably some products out there that might be more suitable for manufacturing but this product appears to work very well and meets the needs of our organization.
QuickBooks Online Advanced seemed much more user-friendly. It seemed easier to run reports and customize the report data.
