Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

We use Rippling for payroll, time & attendance, COBRA, ACA, E-Verify, and employee surveying. We were using a different payroll product previously that we were not happy with. It was disjointed and had a bad user experience. Rippling has an excellent user experience for admin and employee. The surveying capabilities allowed us to save on 2 external softwares we were previously using. We were also able to handle our E-Verify electronically without having to login to our separate entities to complete e-verify for new hires. COBRA has been excellent - the system sends an email with the notice and copies the admins so you know the information went out and was received. Payroll was a bit challenging to get set up correctly, but we had support through the first 3 payrolls to make sure we had it set up correctly and were able to run payroll with very few issues.

  • Custom reporting can be challenging
  • Ongoing support is virtual first and then can be flipped to a Zoom call once you get to the right person. It would be nice to talk to someone right away.
  • Setting up our time & attendance with specific jobs by entity was tricky and we did it wrong the first time. It would have been helpful to have someone walk us through the whole process so we did it right the first time.
  • We have saved money on other systems for services that Rippling is now handling for us
  • The billing is much more straightforward, so we know how much we are spending and what its for
Ultimately we selected Rippling because it felt like the most comprehensive, tech forward solution on the market. The system is fully integrated and unlike Paychex, it doesn't feel like a bunch of separate systems that were poorly pulled together. The user experience on the web app and mobile app is excellent. We are also taking advantage of the other software integrations that were not available to us with other payroll solutions.
The support has gotten us where we need to be, but with it always starting out virtually, it can be frustrating. Sometimes, you just want to call and have someone pick up the phone.

It is very intuitive and it accounts for things I would never expect to see. I am constantly delighted by the extra steps/features they integrated into onboarding/offboarding, reporting, time & attendance, etc. I can usually find whatever I am looking for without having to search the documentation. Employees have given very positive feedback on their experience as well.
Our experience with Rippling has been positive and we are glad we left our previous payroll provider. Rippling allows you to integrate other software systems with their system (GSuite, various ATS solutions, Background check providers, Slack, etc.). If you have a tech-saavy group, Rippling is the best solution we found. If your user group trends towards an older demographic, I am not sure all of the integrations would be of interest.
