Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage is used as our Project Management & Reporting framework as well as our General Ledger. Sage solved our business problem that our consultants can report their time, track hours against budget and directly interface with the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Payable modules. The Reporting Dimensions allow us to create our Financial Reporting by Customer, Project, Consultant and Practice/Industry.

Pros

  • Time sheet reporting to track employee hours for Payroll and Client Invoicing (done within the PRojects module)
  • Management of Actual hours and Revenue against Budget
  • Creation of Financial reports by Dimensions and time period
  • Custom Reports to download data to be used in Excel/Power Pivot and Power BI reports

Cons

  • User Interface is still not favorable by our consultants, in particular when viewed against other types of SaaS offerings and applications available today
  • Real Time reporting is lacking in the Projects Module, in particular for project manager roles and even fo employees to get a summary view of their hours. No standard UI reports/charts we had available when using Harvest Time Sheet reporting.
  • The Dimensions for financial reporting are great, but again had to build out all custom reports. The export from Excel is not compatible with Office 365 so every export comes up with an error...row and column totals do not have formulas like QuickBooks does.
  • Positive in terms of the Financial Reporting and Project Management & Analysis we've been able to provide our senior leadership team and directors and have achieved the objectives we set out.
  • Positive in terms of support and the Partners used to implement.
  • Negative in terms of the UI and mostly with the dual sign-in and that Intacct does not work with Edge. Our business is 90% Microsoft and with Windows 10 penetration it's very hard NOT to use Edge and only Chrome.
Haven't used too much automation but interface between the modules has been positive.
Just have two entities but do not have multi-currencies. Projects Module has been very positive and reason we chose Intacct.
Rating based on the leadership of partner in installing...can not do yourself which may be a negative to some companies. A big investment but worth it.
Harvest time sheet reporting, looked at Sage before merger, Mavenlink and Dynamics.
  • Well suited for professional services companies
  • Have no idea on Manufacturing, Retail or other companies who would use Purchasing and Inventory Modules
