Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I work in Client Accounting Services consulting with small & medium-sized businesses. I utilize it for single and multi-entity businesses for the entire organization. It integrates almost seamlessly with Bill.com, which we use across companies for Accounts Payable. It allows us to run reports across entities for similar departments. We use it to monitor financials at a department and entity level. It also integrates the bank feeds into the cash transaction system.
  • Integrates with external software partners
  • Frequent releases that rely on customer feedback
  • Fast uploading
  • Report writing is cumbersome
  • Having to save things all the time
  • Configuration settings are complicated
  • Distributing reports to business owners
  • automating invoices
  • integrating payables
Being able to maintain payables in Bill.com and utilize its processes and workflows. We use Expensify to deal with expense reports and credit cards. It allows us to leverage other software packages and doesn't punish us for using them. Being able to send things directly to customers & clients is very convenient. I like the hyperlinks and drill down capability.
Not everything is an obvious place. Sometimes configuration stuff is in the specific module, but sometimes it's in a less intuitive spot. I took over the implementation for a client after a lot had been configured. The initial person had left my company, so I had to figure out some stuff on my own. I was lucky because I had a demo environment so I could test settings.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Intacct has more controls and can be deployed more easily. User access doesn't have to be limited to only finance users. There are more audit controls and workflow processes. It's an actual accounting system. Multiple systems can be integrated with it. Quarterly releases are well-done and seem to be in answer to customer feedback.
Multi-entity companies, where you want to have multiple users with different access types. Customizing templates is good functionality, but somewhat difficult to do. Sage Intacct is great for finance departments with spread-out accounting/finance staff. It's good software for companies that are growing and want to institute greater controls on their staff. You can implement controls & approval workflows. Sage Intacct also integrates with multiple external accounting softwares for A/P, A/R, expense reports, and banking.
