Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
We use it currently to monitor Exchange, SharePoint as well as other third party applications to ensure they are up and running. We have legacy applications that do not recover by themselves when they crash. SAM helps us monitor them and restart them when needed. This cuts down on calls to the help desk that services are not working correctly.
- Monitors Microsoft products extremely well
- Updates to SAM and the Orion platform are very easy
- Licensing is horrific, I don't really understand why Microsoft SQL monitor can consume X number of licenses. If should be a fixed cost.
- Positive Impact. We are able to keep legacy applications up times higher.
Support is really good. Every time I call support, I always get someone that is extremely professional and efficient.
