Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

We have two different departments which use it.

Remote access is used by a single user to remote into our environment while overseas in countries that do not allow VPN access. We implemented the solution to allow them access to a system in the office whilst overseas and discovering that they were unable to VPN into our location.

The other team utilise it for providing support to our external users.
  • Allows specific users access to our site without the requirement of a VPN
  • Allows us to provide fast and effective remote support to our clients
  • Whilst a minimal interface it is very powerful and not confusing for support staff
  • The remote access system is a bit convoluted (needing to log into another portal / multiple steps required)
  • A little slow on startup
  • Splashtop is integrated into our RMM, so provides great ROI!
  • The remote access module is reasonably priced in comparison to other remote access solutions.
We have never had an issue with getting Splashtop installed nor any issues with using any of their applications. They simply work "out of the box" and provide the necessary functionality immediately.
We try to ensure all the systems we use have multiple levels of security in place - be they multi factor authentication, remote user access approvals, device verification etc.

Splashtop provides more than sufficient security options to provide us with comfort that the solutions is well protected.
With our integrated use of Splashtop within our RMM system, it simple worked immediately. The RMM system handled all the installation of the Splashtop components, and we were able to remotely access user systems within minutes of it being implemented. There were absolutely no issues with networking / firewalls nor system compatibility issues.

The remote access module was also quick to setup - whilst the core user was in an overseas country, we were still able to get them up and running with minimal technical requirements.
Yes - The remote support side of things was covered by applications such as Anydesk and Teamviewer. These were becoming increasingly expensive.

The system remote access was replacing Remote Desktop (windows), as we did not want to make changes to our firewall security and wanted the least amount of change for the end user.

Do you think Splashtop delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Splashtop's feature set?

Yes

Did Splashtop live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Splashtop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Splashtop again?

Yes

Splashtop is very well suited for remote support scenarios. It has a reasonably light footprint, however, provides all the necessary functionality required of such a remote access system.

As our clients are made to be weary of people remotely accessing their computers, features such as only allowing the end user to approve access and locking down in such ways helps ensure our users are protected from fraudulent access attempts.
