Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers
Hearing from people that actually use products and services in similar organizations is crucial. That is where TrustRadius comes in. It is easy to get information on the product, feedback on the product and know that it comes from a reputable source.
We were looking into video content management platforms. TrustRadius came into play for us to be able to see at a glance what products were available and then we were able to go into each product and vet them before even meeting with the vendor. Having this extra set of knowledge without having to contact the company's sales reps or find an organization that actually uses the product was invaluable and saved us a bunch of time and annoying sales pitches.

I like that it integrates with LinkedIn. This ensures real people are reviewing products and also opens up opportunities to connect with individuals on the site.
G2 is the other service I have used. They are similar but I feel TrustRadius is more active in their communication and really wants more participation with the reviews.

We may not necessarily buy a product with the highest score, but we absolutely take the score into account. If it's "bad" we typically will ignore the product. The score gives us a good baseline as to what is happening with the scope of the product. Then we can dive into deeper details on the product after that.
Not getting sucked into sales pitches. Too often in technology purchasing, a sales rep will say a product can do something and it actually can't OR it's something that is possible but costs extra or needs a lot of work to implement. Getting that honest feedback from peers on TrustRadius can save us the frustration of selecting a product that can't actually do what we want it to.
