Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use UKG Pro to process the agency's semi-monthly payroll. When we have issues, we use to call the rapid response team and create a case number. We used Paychex before and assigned one person to help us to solve issues. With UKG, sometimes we need to wait for a day or two before someone gets back to us to help us solve the problem.
  • Technical support team usually help us to solve problems.
  • The payroll allocations report is helpful and saves us time in preparing payroll journal entries.
  • Sometimes, when we have payroll issues, we go to the Learning Center and try to find answers, but it is not helpful at all.
  • The Mobil App for time management needs improvements; employees always have issues clocking in and out with their cell phones.
  • Employees always complain about the new requirements for creating new passwords. At least 15 characters with a special character at the end; it is just too long for some of them.
  • The agency has a policy that new hires are not allowed to use sick time after 90 days and vacation time after 180 days, and we are not sure whether UKG has set it up for us. Right now, we just manually record the sick time and vacation time ourselves. It would be great if UKG could automatically calculate that for us and loaded on employees' pay statements after 90 days and 180 days.
  • New requirement to create new password needs to simplified.
  • Needs improvement on Mobile App.
It reduced stress by providing the payroll allocation report.

Do you think UKG Pro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with UKG Pro's feature set?

Yes

Did UKG Pro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of UKG Pro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy UKG Pro again?

Yes

UKG did well when we had issues with employees working for both agencies. We called the Rapid Response Team, and they fixed those issues on their back end. Another example is with the Amended W-2 form; they gave us instructions to do it ourselves, but it was not working, and need to make phone calls to get help.

UKG Pro Training

Some topics are easy to understand, and some are not. It would be helpful. We will call the Rapid Response Team for help.

Using UKG Pro

6 - CFO, HR Director, Director of Finance, Accounting Manager, and myself.
2 - The most crucial part is step by step to process payroll and make sure all time cards do not have missing punches and are approved by supervisors. Skills will be detail-oriented.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll.
  • Generates year end tax form, file quarterly returns.
  • Use the mobile app to clock in and out because many of our staff are required to work on the field.
  • Able to provide W 2 forms for ex-employees.
  • We have staff working for different departments, and UKG can provide us with a payroll allocation report that captures the necessary data and helps us save time on preparing the payroll report by department.
  • Keep track of sick time and vacation time for new hires.
We did not have any formal training due to the pandemic, which was the time we switched over to UKG.

UKG Pro Implementation

  • No issues because UKG assigned a professional person to help us through the implementation
