Use Cases and Deployment Scope

UKG has transitioned all the modules that we were using with Ultipro. Onboarding, Recruitment/Talent Management, Core, Performance Evaluations. The recruitment piece is used across the organization and is accessed by hiring managers and department directors. It streamlines the recruitment process very well. We also have self service for life events and open enrollment which are used for all our our employees.

Pros and Cons

Fast response time to cases that are opened.
User training and guides are very helpful when getting stuck somewhere within the system.

Benefits module has limitations.
Leave tracking has little to no fields built into the system so we are forces to use an alternate system.

Return on Investment

We are still in the stages of determining whether the ROI is there for our company.
Having most of the HR department processes flow through the system is a definite plus, especially since we used to utilize a separate payroll processing software.

Alternatives Considered

Paypro Workforce Management and ADP Workforce Now

We felt the combination of modules that were presented by Ultipro provided the best option to be able to mimick the current processes that we had in place. The team that presented the different modules was very knowledgeable and made us feel a high comfort level that they would be able to deliver on what was promised.

Performance

I feel the system runs as expected and very rarely goes down. The home page tends to be slow to load depending on what information is being shown. Reporting is very robust and runs quickly and downloads easily to excel.

Support Rating

Support for routine issues is very good. When a case is opened the response time is excellent. Service Requests seem to take too long for what seems to be simple issues and when you are paying for them, you should not be asked to wait a month for the process to begin.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

PPACA administration and processing is very complicated for our organization and the support I have received when it comes time to completing the 1095c forms has been extremely valuable. The UKG support team really knows their stuff when it comes to this area.

Likelihood to Recommend

I feel that UKG does a good job at handling the payroll processing aspect and was able to customize our very complicated business rules to meet our needs. In addition, they are very adept at working through issues during the implementation phase. Report writing is very robust through Business Intelligence but needs to have a dedicated staff person who can learn the complexity of it.
