Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

Currently using AuthPoint to protect our managed monthly firewall assets, and the reporting servers for them. AuthPoint is a great tool to have implemented due to its ease of use for all types of users and is being used by the whole company. Security is the lynchpin of our organisation and if even one user wasn’t secured with AuthPoint it could be catastrophic for our end users that we support. The end users rely on us to be secure, and expect us to be the same so we set the example high, which also makes it easier to demo and sell. After learning more about containerisation, using Authpoint ensures that all our services are protected by the security platform.

AuthPoint offers an enterprise level service in comparison to the consumer products that are available. With centralised management of users and tokens, you have peace of mind thanks to the control, auditing and visibility of the secure of your systems. Consumer products treat MFA as a User to Account management issue, where in this day and age having MFA as a secure later that can be managed centrally for each individual means that support and deployment is faster and easier. Consumer MFA usually requires a separate app for each service - AuthPoint allows you to bundle all MFA systems Into the one app.

It’s easy in a User environment where VPN’s are used to gain access remotely at a minimum. Securing Office365 with AuthPoint is fantastic with the AuthPoint back end system to manage it - it makes it easy and painless to make sure efficiency and security go hand in hand. However if you don’t have a local server in your Azure infrastructure you may not be able to secure Office 365, as it currently only supports Securing a local Active Directory.

In the case that support from WatchGuard is required, whether it be deploying to a bespoke application or product, or maintaining an existing product - WatchGuard support is fast and efficient. From logging the ticket (which is easy AND comprehensive) to getting it resolved, WatchGuard makes it easy allowing you to select how and when you want to be contacted.

Using WatchGuard AuthPoint

They offer an easy to use app for iOS and Android, and also a hardware token in the event that a user is not able to use their device. This means that it’s able to be used by any user any time, no excuses.

AuthPoint has obviously had security and ease of use in their business objectives since day 1.
