Overall Satisfaction with Wix
We have transferred over several of our business needs into Wix such as payment processing, email management, domain name hosting, and website building. Previously, we were using GoDaddy for our domain name, email management, and website hosting. Wix has helped us become more self-sufficient with more control over what we are publishing.
- Love the drag and drop system! It is completely customizable and helps you decide what you want so you do not have to have all the answers. Truly is a great option for nonprofits and businesses alike.
- Easy SEO management and clear reporting options. This helps us to have all of our website and external marketing on one platform WHILE understanding how it is working. We are able to make adjustments based on what visitors are responding to.
- Love all the widget options. Wix has several applications and add-ons to meet any needs you might have. We utilize this such as video publishing, blog, and several customizable button options.
- Since the website builder utilizes a drag and drop system, it can take a bit longer to load your page. It's a good idea to adjust the size of any photos or media that is inserted to help alleviate this problem.
- We signed up during a promotional period. Our contract has not expired yet but I am nervous that the prices take quite a jump after the initial contract period.
- There is great customer service but not a lot of help available online. I would like to see better help manuals.
- Our website traffic has nearly doubled.
- The extensive reporting and page pathway tracking has allowed us to eliminate or move pages that are not getting action.
- We've converted more visits to direct donations!
GoDaddy was not user-friendly enough for our needs. Unfortunately, we did not have control over direct editing as we had no coding experience. Additionally, it was much more expensive and we found loopholes and additional fees at every turn. Wix's ease and transparency have really helped us improve in this area.

3 - Mostly editing and testing. I am responsible for page creation and content creation whereas other employees are responsible for page management and updates. All users report that the platform is simple and responsive. Unfortunately, only one user can be on at a time or else changes will not save. The mobile site is great too!
1 - As the administrator, I am responsible for support of Wix within the office. Customer service is available for any situation that arises that we can't figure out. I learned how to use the platform by myself through exploration and testing. It was very easy to learn, however, with several options, it is important to spend time consistently in the system to keep your skills up to date.
- We love the event management options available in Wix. We customize our giving pages while integrating our own software
- We are able to live to stream our social media into pages
- We can connect accounts such as youtube to keep our publications up to date.
- Keeping up a cutting-edge website in the age of modern technology
- Visually appealing and responsive design
- Connecting our survey and contact widgets to help us connect with donors and volunteers
- We currently don't use the mass email marketing, we may switch to utilize this function
- We don't have all of our domain ownerships through Wix, we will definitely change this following contract renewals
- We would like to track our constituents progress through our website so donors have insight to live program tracking
