Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
I use Zoom for meetings within my company and professional development meetings with external groups. It is so easy to connect. Zoom remembers my information for selection when opening up the Zoom app. You can use it on the computer or phone and a tablet if you have one. Meetings can go on even if you are sitting behind a screen and can't meet in person. It is a great alternative and user-friendly. Zoom is a unique tool for communicating with co-workers in the Netherlands and Belgium for screen sharing and training. We had to implement an ERP system in Belgium over Zoom. Thankfully, the Netherlands was implemented 6 months prior and co-workers could travel 6 hours by train to the Belgium office to provide additional on-site support while we were in the US virtually working through the integration and initial bugs. It wasn't the ideal situation, but [it was] the best we could do under the travel restriction circumstances.

- Business can continue as usual when meeting virtually
- Provides collaboration tools to assist in the communication and make decisions quicker while talking through things in real time which ultimately saves time and money
- Due to time limits, meetings can seem rushed making decision making questionable
- You can quickly chat with a participant to get simple answers right away and have documentation of the response rather than wait for an email or return call. This is good for IT support when you are troubleshooting an issue for them and need clarification to make sure you are working on the right thing and not wasting time or resources
- You can meet anywhere and use the technology on your phone while traveling so you are not tied to only receiving answers during business hours and is especially convenient when communicating with co-workers in the Netherlands and Belgium especially when there can be a language barrier when talking. Screen sharing can truly speak volumes.
Teams is very comparable to what Zoom offers. The products provide the same benefits and it is more of a company preference than a personal one. Zoom is a great alternative for meetings and phone calls to remain productive when working virtually.
