It is much better to prospect brands and find appropriate contacts at a parent account, and not such a strong suit for agencies.

Data.com is useful if you are trying to segment an entire vertical or market. Company and account information is robust but specific contact information is lacking. They provide a granular level of data as it relates to industry standards (i.e. SIC, NAICS, etc.) but if the company you are trying to research is private or on a smaller scale, you may have difficulty finding the right information

  • Bad data. As with any crowd sourced database, the quality degrades over time. While you can mark a contact as having left the company, if you purchase contacts in bulk it can be cumbersome to go back in and mark them all as bad data to get your points back. Perhaps allowing to mark numerous contacts at bad at once would be helpful.
  • Manipulated data. People adding bad data or editing existing contacts intentionally to get points. I come across this a lot, and have had contacts I've added marked as no longer with company when they are. I always go back in and fix it, however not all users are vigilant about this which means there are a lot of non-searchable contacts that are actually still viable.

Very intuitive to use and I've never had any confusion with features. Anyone can create an account and use the platform simply by adding a contact or company into the database to earn points. It's a great option if you don't have budget for lists or pay services. It is easy to use and anyone can benefit from it.

Whenever I've had a question their support has responded pretty quickly and gives me exactly what I am looking for. I have not had any technical issues so I can't speak to issues there, but as far as general questions from a free user they have impressed me with how quickly they get back to me and the thoroughness of their answers.

Winmo allows more dynamic and functional searches, and puts agency and brand contacts in one place. It also allows exports based on spend and in general, is much more dynamic of a software.

I used DiscoverOrg at a previous employer and I loved it. The information I received was usually reliable and quality, however, the service was quite expensive and I was only able to research the tech industry. hunter.io is fairly unreliable. The good thing is that they have a confidence score so I usually know right away if the contact information will be correct or not.Seemless.ai is also hit or miss. I was lucky enough to be a beta customer so I received several free leads. The company did an update a few months ago and the product no longer worked for me. I was able to speak with their founder and provide feature suggestions and they were able to fix the bugs that I had on my end
