Adobe Campaign is well suited for enterprise-level marketing communications. It can manage and deploy large volumes of emails very efficiently. Workflows can allow multiple touches, staggered sends, and segmentation to occur all within one delivery if needed. Interactions and reporting can happen in real time or near real time if needed. When integrated with the rest of the Marketing Cloud, Campaign becomes even more powerful as platforms like Analytics and AEM can have functionality brought directly into Campaign for more effective content creation and reporting.

Considering HubSpot there really is a good customer use case and a bad use case. I'd say its a 9.5/10 recommendation for some and a 1/10 for others.Well-suited- Individual consultants (I heard a story that some have use cases such as tracking dates) - its really ideal for single operators, especially the free version- Small to medium businesses with small sales teams and simple processes- No need to integrate to other systems- Simple reporting needsPoorly suited- Established businesses looking to cost cut with CRM- High volume businesses- Complex sales processes - Businesses looking to connect to more complex reporting or visualisation tools or do complex analysis

Pros

  • Useful interface – Adobe campaign presents everything Adobe style, which is easy-to-use, easy to understand the information that's presented toward you.
  • The information is there when you need it – the program shows you exactly what you're looking for, and everything is at 100% accuracy. It was the driving force in helping us decide where to move next.
  • The program is always updated, and the customer service is always helpful; we never ran into any problems working with their team whenever we had a question.

  • The most powerful thing about Hubspot Sales is the Contact Timeline. This in some sense "automatically" does some pre-qualification. If and when the time is right for a sales rep to reach out to a contact...they are already armed with info on what their interests might be and where they are on their buyer journey.
  • Filters are very powerful in Hubspot Sales. The sales rep can filter their contacts by any contact property, which can help them with things like looking at contacts that are engaged on our site, by geography, by industry, etc.
  • We have implemented a custom scoring model ("Hubspot Score") that is very powerful. The sales reps are alerted via email when a contact's Hubspot Score goes above a certain threshold, and are required to go into that contact, further qualify if necessary, and close the loop by adjusting their "Lead Status" property. We also have some workflow ties between Hubspot Score and contact LifeCycle Stage.
  • The Deals section of Hubspot Sales is also very important and works well. It is fairly simple to use and not overwhelming to busy sales reps.

Cons

  • There's always room for improvement with the interface. The UI is amazing and works very well, but, as a designer, stuff like this is always a work in progress.
  • A little slow to load – sometimes the program takes a while to start up. I have a high-end Mac, and I'm sure it's not my machine that's the problem.
  • The program crashes every once in a while. It'll just freeze up. Not sure why.

  • I would like to see more statistics (if possible) on my emails.
  • More deal analytics. Right now it tracks well along my process but where are my deals spending the longest time in stages? How can I better tell which deals are going to close?
  • More consistent link tracking, sometimes it does not register that a user clicked the link in my email.

Despite the shortcomings of user interface and basic troubleshooting difficulty, Neolane is much more robust and delivers better capabilities to our sales and marketing staffs than any other product we have used here or any product our staff members have used at other locations.

It's totally clean, consistent, and easy to use/understand. I love everything about this tool! From Gmail to being in the platform everything looks similar, is orange and easy to find, and very clear and user friendly. It's intuitive and hey, if my sales reps are using it it must be good and simple!

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

Oh my goodness HubSpot Support is just amazing. I submitted a question/issue to them yesterday and by this morning I had this response:
"Hi Stephanie,I hope this finds you well and thanks so much for your patience while I was working to update the extension with my team. We were actually able to push through an update yesterday afternoon which set the default lifecycle stage to lead in the sidebar. If you take a look now, that should be in place. If it has not updated yet, I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing the sales extension so an updated version and be pushed through.Again, I want to say that I sincerely appreciate that you took the time to reach out to us and help us iron this out. HubSpot really values constructive feedback with real use-case backing to help push it along. So, thank you!"

It was not only SUPER easy to implement, we had some amazing support from HubSpot. They scheduled a call to go over each individual tool with our team and provided guidance and best practices plus answered any questions are new users had. It was wonderful and really helped them get started confidently

Alternatives Considered

Look, Adobe Campaign is the best program to use for your online media marketing. Adobe understands what online marketers and social media strategists need, and deliver the proper tools necessary for them to be successful. I swear by Adobe, they've earned my trust and I will continue to use their programs throughout my career. Everything else is just...noise. Until I find a program with better customer service than Adobe, I will always be a fanboy.

Most CRMs offer the basic "address book" with the ability to layer on other products. HubSpot has all of this under one hood. There are a lot of similarities between CRM tools, I have just personally found HubSpots to be the easiest to use
