Brandwatch

Brandwatch is great for ongoing monitoring using defined categories. It's brilliant at segmenting and displaying data how you need it, especially when you know what data you need and how you need to see it. It's not the best when you don't quite know what you're looking for, and when time matters - there aren't many good tools for quickly applying filters or using AI to identify patterns, though that's getting better as they continue to merge Crimson Hexagon technology, so I'd continue to watch this space.

  • The measurement variables it can export and show are a great asset. For example, within an export or dashboard I can see follower count and engagement metrics at post-level, which we have not seen another tool do.
  • Hashtag tracking on Twitter is very robust and especially helpful when running sweeps and counting entries.
  • We love having the option to set what percentage of the Twitter Firehose we want to capture, so we're not limited to the Twitter Decahose.

  • The UI sometimes struggles with larger categorisation sets but this can be worked around by exporting to Excel and creating your own graphs there.

I've invited quite a few of my colleagues to try Brandwatch, and all of them were able to use its features with no assistance, and most of these had never used a social listening/monitoring tool before, or even a digital analytics tool! Brandwatch is not only easy to use, but filters, widgets, menus and other options are in intuitive places - it just works

Brandwatch craps out sometimes. Pages freeze, data doesn't populate for hours. It's fine if you're not in a hurry but something to keep in mind if you're working in real-time. It's not as bad as Talkwalker but it's impacted timely delivery of work for me, and one of the first things I teach when introducing the platform is the process for closing out and re-logging in to see if it unfreezes

I've never had to recur to any "extra" support, as Brandwatch have always been at hand whenever I needed a hand. That aside, Brandwatch always lets me know whenever something goes wrong, so I don't have to leave it to guesswork. That said, I've only had something going wrong just once in over one year, so my level of satisfaction is pretty high.

good knowledge, great tips, although the program seems a bit disconnected. It could improve it they create more free webinars and a good content calendar and tackle little topics in each webinar.Their trainers are top notch and they know a lot about the tool but they fall a bit low on technical level understanding of how the tool actually works

The implementation was done during our POC. We had a very mixed experience here, and have had some issues arise since based on the way the tool was implemented. An Adobe employee went ahead and made a change to our account that was unauthorized (helpful for our implementation) which caused issues in on boarding another team who needed the same change, but could not get it done without costly Adobe certification

Adobe Social is like the Cadillac of Social Listening tools. It provides everything from analytics, sentiment, custom reporting, campaign organization and geography of engagement. To be able to access social media accounts, publish content, create reports and track influencers was a big deal. It was the best decision our company could have made.
