Articulate 360

Articulate 360 is perfect for novice instructional designers and for those who need to produce a lot of content quickly. I cannot think of a time it wouldn’t be appropriate because it has so much functionality.

Bridge

Bridge is suited for scenarios where you need ppl to complete steps in order or test that they received the correct amount of knowledge after watching a video. I do think Bridge is less appropriate for companies that use it in external training scenarios as there is some key functionality missing. We gotten very good at brainstorming and finding solutions/ways to get Bridge to work the way that we need it to

Pros

  • Export to LMS.
  • Ease of use/creation.
  • Quiz creation.
  • Robust importing.

  • Superb Customer Support: Getting help from Bridge is so accessible; whether it's via our customer relations rep, the chat or email option. I know I can always get immediate help when I need it.
  • Events: The Bridge annual conference is a wonderful way to connect with Bridge and other companies who use it to get inspired and share ideas.
  • Constantly improving: Every Bridge comes out with additions and improvements to make the user experience better.

Cons

  • Self-hosting option is not built in so you HAVE TO have an LMS, which is overkill for one-offs.
  • Cloud based but a desktop app, kind of annoying.
  • Price is high if you're not making many courses.

  • I would like Bridge to allow all of the functions that we can do through Word. For example, it would be nice if we were able to do multiple bullet types/indentations when expanding on points in a training. I would also like to be able to hit the "undo" button when I accidentally delete information.
  • Due to the large amount of courses available in Bridge, it would be nice if there was a better way to organize/categorize the courses to where learners can browse what's available specific to their role within the company. Right now, there is no organization to the courses. We are hoping that the categories function rolls out soon.

It has been very useful to our organization in getting compliance training complete. We have a 24/7/365 organization with some folks only working 2 days a week during the summer only, many work full-time jobs elsewhere and can't make weekday programs and facilities don't have to alter schedules to get mass numbers of people through training like you have to do with live training..

Our challenges were internal - nothing with Bridge. We had regular, productive meetings with our implementation representative.

Alternatives Considered

Storyline 360 gives you similar output as Storyline 2, with responsive players and some new features, but does not produce a fully responsive course. It optimizes the page size based on the device screen like before. If a slide has a lot of content, it will be very difficult to read when viewed on smaller screens like mobile phones.

The API capabilities puts you way ahead of the others we have evaluated. You did not have on your list CourseMill LMS or NetExam LMS which are the two LMS systems we have used over the past 11 years. Bridge is so much more interactive and user friendly. Your on-boarding team has made it a pleasure as well

Return on Investment

  • Content library will certainly help towards reducing cost and time in development particularly in relation to graphics.
  • Provides more of an all in one system. Working within a family of programmes that understand each other tends to make things run smoother take the Adobe suite for example.
  • Articulate Review, seems to be an easy way to publish and send courses for review. No need of any server or LMS to send the courses for stakeholders’ to review.

  • We have only had Bridge implemented for 4 weeks. Not enough time to evaluate at this time. We have only had Bridge implemented for 4 weeks. Not enough time to evaluate at this time.
