Likelihood to Recommend BrightGauge lets us know when we have critical issues that need solving. A massive influx of tickets all at the same time triggers an investigation. Usually, it is tied to a server going down, which we can address. It would not be helpful for a small MSP or IT department with just a few daily tickets. The stats are better used to track a large amount of clients.
Read full review Great value for the money. Excellent for smaller agencies with multiple projects and teams in a smaller space. We can quickly roll out mobile displays to help with a particular deployment push or monitoring a clients website engagement. It's also useful for showing live data without requiring analytics to run reports from a CRM, etc.
Read full review Pros It is a simple and powerful way to visualize data with no SQL experience necessary. The interfaces are largely drag-and-drop and it's easy to put together dashboards, gauges, internal reports, and external reports. BrightGauge's support team is the best I've ever encountered. Their response time is usually within an hour for all my requests, whether they be simple dataset field additions or large scale projects. Every support rep I have worked with has been friendly and beyond helpful. Their blog, webinars, and podcast are full of useful information about metrics, business practices, gauge suggestions, and more. Sleek, dark UI. Read full review Cons Annual or more than annualized data is desperately needed for MSPs to show trends, current limitation is previous 240 days for ConnectWise tickets Alerts when datasets do not sync properly, I have to rely on my team to notice vs get an automated alert from BrightGauge Small thing, but it would be nice to have more options on the report scheduler to enable a start date. Read full review Usability Usability is BrightGauge's strength. Granting the ability of virtually any user to be able to create a dashboard is incredibly valuable. If an organization very simple and straight forward reporting needs then BrightGauge is a perfect fit for them. Connecting to the dataset we used was very quick and easy and I imagine it would be the same for any major data source you would like to pull from.
Read full review With a simple interface and available templates, creating basic dashboards is easy. Obviously depending on the data you want to visualize, there may be higher learning curves. That being said, they have a huge amount of integrations and extensible frameworks. If you are using anything made in the past ten years there is an API function or integration that can get it talking to the platform. As such, it's pretty easy to hit the main data points you want and get it on a cheap display in front of your team.
Read full review Support Rating Anytime I have reached out to the BrightGauge support team they have been quick, responsive, and solved my issue. They go out of their way to be helpful!
Read full review The support levels vary based on the level of plan that you have but that's to be expected. Virtually everything except the Enterprise plan has basic chat/email support. While they are responsive they are not going to be much assistance in helping you figure out API calls or implementing 3rd party integrations. That is to be expected and the support community can pretty much get you in the right direction if you look.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I'm not aware of any other competitors to Bright Gauge that we selected. They seem to be very close to managed IT service providers and have been great at tailoring their support to the PSAs like ConnectWise, AutoTask, etc. I can see Bright Gauge getting more and more popular as time goes by

Read full review Return on Investment We were purchased by a large PE firm because we could easily show CSAT ratings. The easily trackable stats are suitable for the C-Suite to see which division is the most profitable. We won 60,000 MRR by displaying to potential customers how we track important issues with the gauges. Read full review While we originally used this as an internal IS tool, we eventually have expanded it to be used by nearly every department. Because pricing is monthly, we can grow or decrease our usage based on our current client needs. Because it is low cost and easy to deploy, we can utilize it in place of considerable resources in analytics and reporting by delivering snapshots of data without pulling reports.
