Likelihood to Recommend

Definitive Healthcare

Definitive is very well suited when you need overall knowledge of an organization. I would not recommend using this specifically to enrich the database with contact records.

Node

Node is very good at microservices. "Do one thing and do it well." It is easily Dockerized and scalable. For many products, Node can be used as a front-end API, as well as a back-end processor. For extremely CPU-intensive tasks, like advanced machine learning, I'd recommend not to use Node.

  • We can link information directly to Salesforce pages. Automatically updates on pages.
  • Gives specifics about organizations such as executives, size, revenue, etc.

Node

  • Customer profile and sales analyst features provide relevant information for sales calls.
  • Node allows me to bring more vendors and more contacts in, allowing me to expand lists and connect with more accurate contacts.
  • Node's collaborative nature is very appreciated when they keep on asking for feedback for improvement.

Cons

Definitive Healthcare

  • I have noticed they do not update C suite members often, so when trying to reach out to prospects, the information can be outdated.

Node

  • Performance bottlenecks need to be profiled and ameliorated.
  • The Asynchronous Programming Model has a learning curve which isn't always intuitive to entry-level coders.
  • Much more suited to the cloud, as opposed to bare-metal installations.

Alternatives Considered

Definitive Healthcare

I use both. Definitive Healthcare is better when you need specific hospital and clinic names. ZoomInfo only gives you a local address but refers to each location as the health system name so hard to define where particular people are from.

Node

Node excels when it comes to lead intelligence like account-level and market insights. Its lead management module gives better segmentation and account identification. It is a good choice for mid-size companies (50-1000 employees) and their quality of support is very satisfactory. Its searchable data gives accurate results and its ease of integration with Salesforce is an added advantage over its competitors.

Return on Investment

Definitive Healthcare

  • Made it easy for us to define which companies we should be reaching out to.
  • Integration with Salesforce made accounts more efficient.

Node

  • The ease of coding in a Node environment has made it easy to onboard new developers.
  • Adding features and functionalities is usually relatively simple. Testing frameworks help with smoke/regression testing.
  • A wealth of libraries (npms) available make third-party integrations easier.
