If you have a large project and all of the people working on it are assigned to a particular tactic from idea, to creation, to review, to execution. Putting everything in one tactic and having checklist items that everyone can see is really useful. However, once a tactic or project is marked done, it is hard to find assets and history if you want to build on that tactic for future project work. Personally, I don't like the user experience with the software. It feels clunky and not intuitive.

It is perfect for inputing time sheets, time offs and expenses. It is hosted on the cloud, so accessible from anywhere, and even from mobile. It should nonetheless do just that, as it is not suited to track the work that you are doing or details about it. It is completely useless in that case.

Pros
LiquidPlanner
- Priority based planning. Every other planning software we've used relies on dates and therefore needs constant attention. Priority based planning means that the plan is always up to date.
- Ease of use. LiquidPlanner has a very short learning curve. This is critical to getting team members to use it.
- Forecasting. LiquidPlanner makes it very easy to run scenarios by simply dragging and dropping projects and reassigning resources.
- Awesome Support. I get personal responses very fast. Usually within a couple hours. And, they listen and ask for more information.

- Many of our staff members work on multiple projects. Replicon PSM is ideal for managers to track all staff hours just by running a simple report.
- It's so easy use & maintain.
- Support team is really impressive, seem to know their product.
- Reporting is a breeze.

Cons
LiquidPlanner
- The interface is messy and cluttered. The best way to find things and see what you actually want to see is the main Projects view which is also the most cluttered and hardest to maneuver in.
- Clicking an external link someone posted in a comment or task description doesn't open in a new window by default, so we are constantly having to go back to get to LiquidPlanner again.
- The way that the interface saves your state globally (rather than per tab instance) means that if you click a link from someone else to a task that's not yours, then it adjusts your filters on the Projects page. Then if you refresh another LiquidPlanner window where you were on the Projects tab, suddenly all of its filters are updated and what you were looking at may no longer be there.
- It might just be the way that we use the system, but the Home and My Work tabs are fairly useless for us. They typically don't show the tasks we're actually looking for.

- Though the technical support staff are always very nice, sometimes they don't seem to understand exactly what the issue is based on our explanation. There have been several times when I've ended up solving the issue on my own without their assistance, despite numerous emails and phone calls. Could be a language barrier issue, perhaps they could receive more training in how companies are actually using the software on a daily basis.
- Employee time sheets have to be approved by project managers and supervisors prior to my final approval. However, when viewing the time sheets in list form, there is no way for me to tell whether a time sheet has been approved by everyone else. I have to manually open each one and hover over the approver link. It would be helpful if there was a column in the list showing which approvers still need to approve it.
- There have been a few times when time sheets were accidentally deleted by approvers. In order to retrieve them, we've had to contact Replicon support and have a backup instance of the information created. It would be great if perhaps there was some sort of archive or recently deleted section that could be accessed right away without having to go through Replicon support, a folder or something that would hold on to recently deleted files for a few days or a week just in case they needed to be retrieved.
- Some of our projects have more than one project manager. Replicon currently allows for co-managers to be assigned to a project, but this status does not seem to include that co-manager in the approval of time sheets and expenses. We have had to manually create an approval path to include that second manager. It would be nice if co-managers would automatically be included in those approval paths.

We may not renew LiquidPlanner's contract, but only because my company has recently been acquired and we'll be adopting some of the software that they're using to standardize process. LiquidPlanner's development team releases new features pretty often, so it seems like the gaps and inefficiencies are slowly getting smaller/less frequent

Support is the least impressive part of LiquidPlanner for me. Issues are resolved, but software bugs or suggested improvements are generally blown off or responded to condescendingly. This software updates more frequently than any other software we use, frequently during times we use the product (Saturday mornings). Often the updates result in aesthetic changes that seem pointless when there are bigger updates that would make using the product easier, which should be a higher priority.

We use Teamwork for managing projects and love it for that, but we stick with LiquidPlanner for the high-level overview of our project workload, as well as for time-tracking (specifically for being able to bill out actuals). Teamwork and LiquidPlanner each have their merits; we find the combination of both tools to be right for our needs.

- LiquidPlanner really forces you to map out your workflow. For me, honing into a template that I can later adjust as needed has been huge, as there is less time at the beginning of a project trying to assign and figure out what needs to happen when usually it never changes.
- Communication between employees, especially ones not immediately available in the office has been very welcomed. It helps having conversations documented in a public, logical place that is easy to find and refer to as the project continues.
- Our productivity has definitely skyrocketed as we've really gotten a feel and committed to using LiquidPlanner daily. As we move forward, we continually try to add more and more ways for us to use the service.
