QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is a widely-used accounting package designed for small to mid-sized businesses. It is the top of the QuickBooks line. Pricing starts at $3,000 for five users, and goes up depending on the number of additional users. They also offer an Advanced Inventory module for $999 / year.
We looked at BuildTools' product and it is pretty slick. But in the end, we found that the construction version of QuickBooks did everything that we needed, while also providing the g/l support we needed. QB allowed our field staff to keep doing things the way they were …
monday.com is the best time and task managing tool I've used while working in a design team. It can be customized extensively and adapted to a company's and team's needs. In my particular case, it has helped enormously to separate the tasks from the design team from the software development team, who have different needs.
The Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise software has amazing tech support if you ever run into any issues. Great and integrated features. User-friendly software, very easy to use, and no need for training or prior language. Flexible for business daily activities and project management. Quickbooks has the features like Configuration of different Financial Statements, Personalized Invoice formats, and Data/Reports download into Excel. The customer billing and collections process can be customized to meet the user's needs. While great for small to mid sized businesses, this is software is not suited for a multi faceted business such as ours. It just cant handle all of the depth of processes that we require to run our business now.
Exporting of Gantt charts for PowerPoint Presentations
Easier integration needed with Microsoft Azure ADO
Date Completion versus Due Date versus Completion Status - The completion status was often wrong, even though the project was completed by the due date. Seems to have corrected itself over time. So maybe there was an issue (bug) that was fixed.
There is confusion on checking the BILLABLE box when entering bills into Job.
There is also confusion if use the cost of goods or Items on the items list is not properly set up, and it does not show items on the job profitability report.
We rely on monday.com to track clients. There is currently not another software out there that we would prefer to use for client management, so I do not see a reason why we wouldn't renew our subscription with monday.com.
We've been using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions from when the business started, 11 years ago. I don't see us changing programs any time soon as it is working pretty well for us now. It would be extremely time consuming to start from scratch with a new accounting or inventory management program.
Though I think I'm fairly technically savvy, I did not need training to create boards and systems that were familiar to me. And when I do need some guidance, I have been successful in finding help with simple searching or have had great success with getting help from the Team at monday.com just by asking a question.
I like the QuickBooks Enterprise edition so much I moved my company to it this year. I like the overall functionality of the program and I am very familiar with the user interface which makes my job easier. One of the things I dislike about the online version it is not modeled after the desktop edition and I have a hard time getting around in the program.
Everything performs fairly well. Every now and then there are user errors where an employee will not click "ok" on a note they've created and simply exit out (I do wish that something was in place to prevent this, such as a pop "are you finished?")
Unfortunately, this is one of the most significant areas for improvement with Monday.com. Monday.com boasts 24/7 service, but in my experience, it does little to deliver. On several occasions, I have reached out to Monday with long delays and lagging response times. This seems to be the one area where other platforms have Monday.com beat. While this platform is my favorite, its lackluster customer service has tainted my experience and motivated me to look elsewhere for similar services.
Very rare do I call the Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions support staff and I get a customer service associate quickly. On average, my wait time is near an hour, and at times even longer. After spending the first three minutes discussing my problem, they then begin to poke and prod around, sometimes the questions continue. But 80% of the time, the problem is over their head and they have to escalate the issue. The only problem is this escalation arrives usually after spending forty-five minutes poking and proding around but learning nothing. In short, my experience is rarely all that well, let alone great
It is a very easy system to learn, so with the help it was even easier. QB is a good solid system, but it lacks some of the complexity other systems have. with QB you need to get additional modules to get the same functionality that other systems offer standard
To have someone walk you thru the features and capabilities of Monday.com is priceless. Someone also coming along later in the contract to see if you are maximizing the program to suit your company needs is beyond helpful. The staff that have provided this training are fun, creative and very patient.
easy to learn system, specially with some kind of support. Just like with any other system, things get lot easier if you have guidance to lead you in your search for answers. having said that, QB is very easy to use and very easy to teach. you wont spend much time memorizing where to click.
We signed up for the accounts. Created the accounts. Ran the trial version and tested it live while we were running multiple projects and found that it was fitting our needs perfectly. When the trial ended and we were asked to purchase the full version, we did. We have found other ways to use it and it's a breeze.
If you're loading QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions onto a computer that you're going to directly log into, you should be able to do it yourself. If you are going to connect to a server through a network or remote connection, you should probably have a professional IT person set it up for you.
We used an excel spreadsheet to track our month end close process previously which created a lot of issues around only one person being able to be in the checklist at any given time. Additionally, we were unable to have excel notify us when a task we need to have completed was done, but Monday.com has completely changed that for us!
Sage is offline, very cumbersome to work with and does not have the type of features that quickbooks has. Sage was pretty horrible to work with. Trying to find reports was awful and running payroll was difficult. Quickbooks is far superior to Sage and would never recommend Sage to anyone.
For it to work across multiple departments and sites, I would like to see improvements made with integrations and automation. For this question, I am acknowledging not only the addition of internal triggers/automation, but also an expansion on external ones.
Personally, I feel like I've been easily getting at least 10x-20x the number of projects done since using Monday. Going from having to keep track of assignments via marking emails as unread to tracking projects in monday.com has SUPERCHARGED the way I work.
It has brought my team together into a cohesive whole. Being able to tag each other in project updates, create new projects and assign them to each other, and see where everyone is at on their tasks has saved so much time emailing/messaging people and helped us each appreciate what everyone else contributes more. We're communicating way better!
Being able to search for documents and project updates has made my work more efficient. I no longer have to ask someone to email me a graphic or document - I can simply search for the related task in monday.com and grab what I need!
Good value for the price. The initial setup was quick and easy.
When properly set up and processes are followed it's decent at managing inventory which is something we had problems with. Have to have a dedicated employee to builds.
Rolling up costs in multi-level BOM's is a project each time we have to review costs, it's very time consuming to manually update all assemblies.
