Getscreen.me is a great remote access company I have rolled out across all of our remote sites to allow us to have access to the computers at our various locations to adjust our media software that runs at the various sites. Great for remote maintenance of our sites and fixing windows software problems.

I considered using the industry standard TeamViewer, as I have been a long-term user at home. However, when looking at the corporate plans - it is exorbitant amount of money they want for a commercial license.

In my search for an alternative, I came across Getscreen.me and I am SO GLAD I did - as they offer an amazing, easy to use solution with custom branding for remote clients running at the remote sites.

Well worth a look - as I am sure you will agree with me that value for money wise - nothing beats Getscreen.me!

  • Windows Updates were pushed to a remote PC and now PC is setting on screen where user interaction is required. Getscreen.me allows us to remotely resolve this.
  • Our custom software running on remote PCs need to be restarted due to a bug/issue. Using Getscreen.me this is very easy.
  • Using Getscreen.me to monitor remote cricket scoreboard at one of our sportsfields. We can view the camera attached to that PC at the sports field to see how far along the game is - which helps us to know when to go back to the sports grounds - to shut down the scoreboard at the end of the day.
  • Keep an eye on staff that work remotely - to ensure they are indeed working

So simple to use - easy to install, can access remote control interface for any computer running any OS!
  • Remote access Dashboard - from where you access your remote PC. Great interface with summary of each site - show your with Green Dot of remote PC is online. We use this function all the time!
  • File Transfer works well - but I take my time using it - to ensure the files sent end up on PC it is suppose to. Nothing bad here - just at time I think that it can be done better.

Our team, who works remotely, relies on Getscreen.me to offer efficient and reliable customer support. We previously used, (and in some cases still use-) TeamViewer. In addition to remote desktop support, Getscreen.me has also been useful for management of remote machines or to manually start automated processes hosted by remote machines.

As long as there is internet connectivity, Getscreen.me is useful for connecting to your desktop or a server in order to work remotely. An example would be a dedicated machine for rendering video. We use Getscreen.me to log in and start the render. Connecting to a client desktop to provide on system support. There is the ability to log and record activity when the application is used, this would be helpful for monitoring activity of a remote desktop tech support team. Reporting is basic but provides enough information to track interactions.

While TeamViewer is a more mature/developed product. TeamViewer has more features and the interface is very similar but TeamViewer feels better. While TeamViewer currently takes the lead by a small margin for us, Getscreen.me is a very capable application for our needs. For the price/performance we prefer Getscreen.me.

Our remote team provides remote desktop support for clients, remote desktop and server management, remote services. When a client has a problem that requires hands/eyes on to fix, GetScreen.me is very helpful. When restarting a PC to do updates, this can be completed through remote desktop and server management. Rendering a video is an example of a remote service.

Basic to intermediate computer skills are required. It's easy enough to learn and use Getscreen.me but what will be their purpose once connected? If the use is for one person to manage their personal computer, then not as much skill/experience may be needed. If they are troubleshooting someone else's computer, then they will need to be more experienced.

The price and performance are our current primary deciding factors. Getscreen.me currently provides the best performance for the price.
The app interface will be familiar to someone has used other remote desktop applications such as TeamViewer. The connection is smooth but performance will vary dependent on Internet bandwidth. Some of the problems we ran into were the white label options. Reading the instructions quickly resolved any setup problems we had. To note, the app (as of this review) does not allow white label branding of the internal dashboard.
