iContact is a versatile communication tool that is used by various organizations and individuals for a wide range of purposes. For example, schools utilize iContact to manage both internal and external communications, including sending emails about performances, weekly updates, illness announcements, and emergency communication. This ensures seamless and efficient communication within the school community. Similarly, marketing departments of businesses employ iContact for email marketing campaigns, allowing them to reach out to customers with monthly newsletters, promotions, and announcements.

Moreover, iContact serves as a valuable tool for coordinating communications across different departments within a company. It enables approximately three departments to send targeted messages to specific audiences such as physicians and consumers while ensuring brand consistency and tracking open rates. In addition to these organizational use cases, iContact also caters to individual users who rely on it to stay connected with clients or referral sources. The user-friendly interface guides users through the entire email campaign process, making it suitable for those with little experience in this domain. Using iContact, we were able to reach more people and increase our social media volume and online presence. It helps me to easily send bulk emails to my audience and potential leads with tons of email templates. Unfortunately, the email customization options are limited, and they have a limited amount of storage space.

If you are just creating marketing emails and sending them out, iContact works great. If you want fancy templates we think you'll need to work to make that happen. If you want a comprehensive solution this might not be for you. Definitely researching the feature set - so far for us the features have worked pretty well.

iContact is not the best solution for those with over 10,000 email subscribers. The lack of features does not compare to other solutions with a similar price point. This is also not ideal for those who want to have a lot of customization options when it comes to the content of their emails. However, they do offer hundreds of templates, which is a better option for those needing a quick and simple email campaign, especially where visual appeal is a priority. The email templates are very modern and sleek and would be a good fit where this is of high importance. iContact would be perfect for small business users, but mid-sized organizations may find it does not meet their needs. Enterprises are likely to have requirements that are overgrown for the iContact solution.

It's a workhorse for basic email management. If you are getting started in building your platform out it's pretty easy to work with. As you explore other products you may find that you wish it had more functionality. Statistics are a bit limited whereas other newer products may give you more insight into the behavior of your audience. Regardless, I was pretty satisfied with the platform.

iContact is well suited for regular contact with a list of members that is fairly stable. If your list includes people who may come on and off and back on again, it can be difficult to maintain. The service does not seem to allow the upload of purchased lists of any sort, even though legally allowed (under certain circumstances).

iContact could be used when you want to advertise your product or service or bring up something special for your subscribers. iContact allows me to send out more emails than I desire. I send messages out sometimes weekly but never reach my maximum number allotted. iConatct would probably not be suited for small contact lists of say fifty or fewer emails.

I think iContact is great for small businesses starting up and trying to better manage their client base. Well suited for sending out lots of messages at one time or maybe multiple messages per month, things like that.

But I think for bigger businesses it might not be the right fit. I feel as though many people view messages coming from iContact as spam or junk mail and they are not opened or received. That can be a waste of time for the business owner or the developer.

IContact is well suited for sending our irregular as well as regular communications. The templates are easy to set up, and they will work with you to create customized templates. Since it is web-based, it can also be accessed from anywhere and is an asset when we need to send immediate emergency-related communications. We also link it to our Facebook and Twitter accounts to cross-promote news and events.

I would only recommend it if someone was a small business. I think they are the best suited for companies who will send out a coupon or offer here and there. The most recent updates made it more complicated to use for more complicated processes. It is easy to train someone on the program, and so quick to learn. But I would also only stick to the simpler things. I also think the colorful templates are great, and show great creativity. But again, it is hard to justify recommending the program when it isn't WYSIWYG.

iContact is a great option for small businesses. It doesn't have enough features to create the demands of a large corporation. Of course the price goes up exponentially with more subscribers, which would also make it beneficial for small businesses. If you have too many lists to add people to it can get a little crazy too.

iContact is great for sending to lists of people for one-off marketing campaigns. It is not well-suited for automated marketing e-mails that are sent to individuals at specified time intervals based on when they take certain actions in our marketing funnels.

We only use iContact to connect with Association members and others who have signed up wanting information on a regular basis, past members, etc. In this regard, iContact is very well suited. I can't think of where it would be less appropriate, unless it would be for an organization or business where the mailing list is very small.

iContact Pro is well suited for a scenario including a small organization with very general mass emailing needs. Some HTML experience will be needed to create email, so a team will need to consider this when making a selection. Would be less appropriate for a team looking for a more comprehensive marketing platform that could include cookie tracking, workflows, etc.

Its very well-suited for enterprise or medium business size mailings and the ability to integrate with many third party tools. It is not the robust and exciting interface that you may see with competitors, so if that is important to you, it may be difficult to grasp.

Its great for people just getting started with email. The builder and templates make it easy to ensure emails look great and are optimized. The coaching and assistance provided by the iContact team is unparalleled. If you need someone to help you understand email better, or take your messages to the next level, this team can do it. They even review your current messaging and provide guidance on how to improve everything from design to the subject lines.

iContact is well suited for sending and tracking communications, such as newsletters and general correspondence, to various audiences. It does not have all of the bells and whistles of an advanced email automation tool like Marketo or Eloqua. We use the product for general communications and for our purposes it does the job. We are able to see if readers click on links to our website and can track open rates. The product does not allow us to track how long they stay on our website and other web activity.

iContact is well suited for small to medium organizations and allows for customization which goes above and beyond the average online marketing tool. It would be well suited for internal departments within a large organization as well doing it's own marketing. When perusing marketing tools for your business, always look at what you are sending, where you are sending it and to whom, ensuring the tool you choose can accommodate all needs required.
