Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Illustrator CC

We use Adobe Illustrator CC in our Marketing department. We use it to create infographics, icons, and original illustrations. Our business uses a lot of concepts that are hard to find stock graphics of online, so Illustrator gives us the flexibility and advanced tools required to create our own assets.
  • Ability to easily create vector graphics from scratch
  • Tons of customization
  • Ability to import and export from other Adobe products like Photoshop and InDesign
  • High learning curve
  • Occasional bugs during saving
  • Can be demanding on computer system resources
  • We are now able to create original illustrations for our marketing campaigns rather than having to rely on stock graphics. A lot of our competitors don't do this, so it helps us stand out.
  • We are now able to create original infographics rather than having to outsource this service. We save money by doing more in-house.
I use both Canva and Illustrator. Canva is great for 'quick and dirty' jobs like social media headers and quote graphics, but creating original illustrations is a nightmare in it. We use Illustrator when we have the time, because it's much more painless to create detailed and original vector graphics.
Great for creating original vector illustrations for Marketing or art. Not so good for creating illustrations that are meant to mimic 'real world' mediums like acrylic and pencil.
