Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Our company uses Workforce Now within two departments; Payroll and HR. We also have additional access to Enterprise E-Time that is used throughout the organization. There are multiple components of the system that allow us to work with the many employees across multiple states.
  • I find the interface easy to use for things like adding employees, running multiple pay batches, creating/implementing our open enrollment profiles and events, etc. I cannot say enough how much I prefer the interface to ADP over other options. I have recently used Paychex and have seen snapshots of other service providers, and I find ADP to be easiest to maneuver, and the most friendly on the eyes. When you're a payroll professional staring at a screen for hours a day, size and placement of font are extremely important.
  • The report writing options allow users to have access to easy reports as well as more complex reports. I like that I can easily build, adjust, and recreate reports, as well as have ADP do it for me.
  • Qualifying events for employee benefit enrollment - We're on an older version of the system, so I believe this is an area that has already improved. Right now though, the system doesn't have a lot of user friendliness for employees to sign up through the qualifying events options.
  • Customer service - While the majority of the time I do have no issues, there are those times over the phone that I will get an incorrect answer or have long wait times. This is something ADP has gotten better at over the past few years, and they've also added features like online assistance and an online community forum.
  • We've been able to go paperless for the majority of payroll thanks to online access and phone apps. This saves lots of money and trees, and offers more convenience to our employees across the country.
  • The Compliance page allows me to upload PDFs of state correspondence, so I don't have to call, mail, or fax in time-sensitive information.
  • Paychex
There's no comparison. One hour in the Paychex system told me all I needed to know.
For companies running large batches, I find ADP to be the best for this. It's easy to find employees, import/export data to pay batches, and customize the batch features.
