Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP is being used by our HR department to manage employees and their activities throughout the organization. Time management, payroll, attendance, and employee performance are managed through use of ADP.
  • Tracking of employee time is relatively easy for the user; both the manual entry of time and the clock-in/out process.
  • Payroll distribution statements are clear and concise, thus the Accounting Dept is able to complete accurate expenditure reports.
  • ADP is not user-friendly for supervisors; time auditing reports, employee management, and time approval processes are not intuitive and require more steps than should be necessary.
  • The mobile app is not intuitive, requires much back and forth to access necessary pages; does not allow a friendly version for approving mass employee entries.
  • Several years of implementation ensued with limited results. While employees reported benefits of use, leadership struggled and proposed an entirely different platform (which was approved, thus ADP use was discontinued).
  • Direct reports were able to better engage in their own performance, reporting, managing of time which was able to be carried over to the new platform.
  • ADP may have been successful if they had been able to better adapt to the needs of our complex organization; offer additional on-site training, reduce report layering.
Due to challenges in meet the basic reporting and approval needs of our agency, scalability was never truly achieved.
  • Retirement benefits management.
  • Blackbauds Financial Edge.
  • MS Office 365 single sign-on.
For benefits management, integration was successful and easy to access for both employees and the HR department. Financial Edge was not able to be integrated due to numerous permission-based barriers. Single sign-on was also unable to be integrated due to permission limitations and challenges to maintaining privacy practices.
Workday was able to address the complex needs of agency with regard to managing various types of employees and in different settings, with varying funding sources. Single-sign on was successful and used agency-wide. Reporting at every level and for every department is more efficient and user-friendly. Employee performance, organizational charts, position and salary changes, and mass employee time approvals are all easily accessible.
For employees, there are user-friendly features: quick time entry, ready review of overall time, overall ease of use. For supervisors/leadership, the process is not as intuitive, feels redundant, requires much searching for basic features such as employee time approval, time-off approvals, and review of overall time worked.
