Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use ADP Workforce Now to run payroll on a bi-weekly and bi-monthly basis, I also use it to hire/rehire/terminate our employees and [have] used the performance tool as well this past January for all of our 48 employees. The HR department uses it and of course all employees have access to it, but with limited access (paycheck, access to forms and making request for time off).

Pros and Cons

Great tool for hiring.
Great tool to manage benefits enrollment.
Great customer service.

The calendar functionality is not well utilized.
Service Connect is slower than advertised.
GTL calculation is not very accurate.

Return on Investment

Better individual pay history management by employees.
Great communication tool through the homepage.
Easier onboarding tool.

Scalability

The tool allows us to create various profiles, like practictioners, admin etc .... so we can have people handling payroll only or other team members in charge of hiring and onboarding. [We can] choose access and permissions so this allows us to use ADP WFN in many departments and with different profiles within the company with guarantee that confidential and personal information remains safe and accurate at all times.

Systems Integrated With

We are looking at integrating our retirement plan with ADP.

It is very [easy] to integrate from what we have seen. The fact that we have not implemented it (integrating ADP with our 401k contributions) is because of the cost to do so. As we grow and we start spending too much time running our own reports from ADP and transferring them to our retirement plan, this is an integration that we will use as we know it is easy, simple to implement.

Alternatives Considered

We used ADP Run in the past but ADP WFN is just a bigger product from ADP with many more functionalities. Having one platform that can handle payroll, annual reviews and performance and taking care of the new hire onboarding process is key to us. You can use it 100% or have the new hire fill out for you and even manage I-9 electronically ... A lot of the HR functions are being done with ADP WFN and it has been a saver for us without hiring anyone to do the task, so the ROI is great.

In the past year that we have implemented the tool, I still come up with new set up that I am not familiar with so I use the Service Connect function online and the issue is solved directly with them, or I call and the customer service either calls me back or helps me right there. I sometimes call everyday because I can't find a code or need to unlock my payroll and every single time, someone helps me and everyone is very good at what they do. They sometimes need to get back to me, but they always do so I can trust them that they will come back with a fix or an answer. They call, leave a message, send an email .... it is incredible how they follow up.

Likelihood to Recommend

ADP WFN is a great tool and we like it. It is quite easy to use but if not, the customer service is exceptional. You can always reach out to someone that has expertise and there was never any day when a problem could not be fixed. Notifications work well so you don't ever miss a payroll date or a change on your tax profile as we get regular email notifications. When it is less appropriate is the time to solve an issue using "service connect".
