Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP is used for payroll and analytics. Our benefits are run through ADP as well as 401K and Cobra. We have the GL module. We use the mobile app. We are starting to use the Employee Documents and Essential Time. It is very helpful to have everything in one platform. Use of the mobile app is at 100 percent for PTO and Time. I create reports for Finance on a daily basis.
  • Payroll
  • Time and attendance
  • Reporting
  • Our payroll customer representative is awesome!
  • Mobile app - need more flexibility to restrict with regards to CA lunch attestations
  • Carrier connection start up
  • Allowing uniqueness
I believe that we can adapt WFN to work in each of the states we deal with. Sometimes this is easier than others but usually WFN reps help you deal with the more difficult issues.
We haven't done this yet, but are looking to integrate our hiring platform with WFN so that the hiring process is easier for our department.
Paylocity seems to be the only platform that I would consider over ADP. It seems to be more "whole" when adding a module. But WFN is more advanced and easier than the others.

The dedicated payroll representative is awesome and the merge integration specialist we just worked with was great too. I have had representatives that just are not familiar with certain problems or issues. When this happens you can be on the phone for hours with nothing corrected or solved. I think that if a representative isn't versed in a certain portion of the product then they should transfer you to someone that is or have someone get back to you so you don't waste your time.
The payroll tax options and full garnishment are very easy to use as is the actual payroll function. The Time and Attendance function is easy to use although I wish I could make certain changes without contacting a representative from T&A.

The mobile app doesn't have the ability to block clock in's after lunch break in California which is unfortunate because if the employee clocks in one minute earlier than the 30 minutes required, the system pays them an extra hour. The ability to do this is only on the clock and portal, but we don't want the employees to all have to use the clock because of COVID.

While reporting is easy sometimes it isn't easy to get what you actually need in a report so you have to call custom reporting. This is sometimes days before they get back to you.
