Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is the exclusive software used to track time, labor costs, costs by department and payroll/tax functions. WFN is our recordkeeper, payroll producer and tax advisor on all things payroll.

Pros and Cons

Calculate and record payroll

Cost analysis by project name or organizational code

Tax recording is complicated and prone to errors.
Customer service is provided by random individual instead of a dedicated representative
Onboarding of new companies takes MONTHS!!!!

Systems Integrated With

General Ledger integration was never completed by ADP personnel. I was able to discern from standard reports enough information to manually create general ledger input.

Alternatives Considered

Paychex Flex

I selected ADP over Paychex with the hope that customer support would be more responsive to my needs. I was wrong.

Support Rating

I have still not been assigned a dedicated customer service representative. My largest problems with ADP stems from payroll tax reporting, and I do not have access to speak directly to ADP's tax department. All of my inquiries need to go through customer service who then contacts ADP's tax department and then responds to me. The system is slow and difficult to manage.

Likelihood to Recommend

ADP Workforce Now (WFN) works well for large companies with well defined organizational and costing models. It is overkill for smaller companies that need a product to track time, produce accurate payroll numbers an accurately file tax reports.
