Overall Satisfaction with AdvocateHub

We're using Influitive's AdvocateHub to power our Cvent Advocate program. Customer marketing (my team) is driving the program, but we're working alongside sales, client services, and technology to make sure we're making the program as good as it can be. AdvocateHub solves a number of problems for us: 1) creates user-generated content (quotes, testimonials, case studies) 2) gives us an audience to gather product feedback 3) provides a path for our best customers to submit referrals.
  • Activity targeting (by product, title, engagement level, location - you name it!)
  • Training and Advocate Marketing Onboarding (you have an onboarding specialist with you for 1-2 months needed to launch your program). They provided tons of helpful tips and tricks.
  • Technology team is constantly updating the technology, based on advocate input.
  • Activities could be more easily displayed (but they're working on it!)
  • More advanced reporting (they have a ton of reporting capabilities, I'd just like the option to save reports within the system instead of exporting)
  • More advocate: advocate engagement through the ability to tag other advocates in responses to community posts.
  • Increased customer satisfaction
  • Increased customer testimonials and quotes
  • Increased referral lead flow
I honestly couldn't find a competitor that stacked up to AdvocateHub, apples to apples. Everything else I saw either had one component (focus on referrals) or focus on just the community. AdvocateHub brings all those experiences together (with a community, activities, and rewards). It's an amazing way to build your own army of your best customers, partners and/or employees.
I don't think there are any scenarios that come to mind when AdvocateHub isn't appropriate. I do think you need to know the answers to these questions though:
1. Who is your targeted audience that you want to engage with your organization? (i.e. employees, partners, customers?)
2. What are your key goals of the program (do you want more referrals? Better employee satisfaction ratings? More social media activity?
3. Does your CRM system sync with AdvocateHub? (This isn't a requirement, but I think it's an essential feature)
4. Do you have someone in your organization who will manage your AdvocateHub? (If the answer is no, then you have a problem).
