Overall Satisfaction with AppDynamics
AppDynamics is used throughout the bank, monitoring over 100 different applications from small ( 100 nodes). There are over 100 dashboards used daily and alerting is sent out to the relevant people when a problem is detected. The application owners use AppDynamics on a daily basis to troubleshoot and diagnose when there are problems. From my point of view I am basically an advisory role to help empower the other users, be it with training and troubleshooting as well as talking to the Professional support team to get them to help out when I just do not get around to doing things to to capcity.

- Ability to have custom metrics
- Dashboards have limited widgets
- No ability to deleted metrics if they are created incorrectly
- Access control not always easy to administer when using SAML and Roles.

- Value of the tool has been shown during outages multiple time
- Ability to go back in time and see the difference between when something happened and when everything was normal
- Not enough buy in from BU's as it is hard to justify the cost
Ease of use, the fast pace of the product growth.
Analytics and BiQ is a huge bonus for adding value to Business who ultimately are the owners as they pay for AppDynamics.
Other products can be cumbersome, do not have new features released as often and support in Country is lacking.
