Overall Satisfaction with Arcoro HR

I use Arcoro for the learning management system. We do not use any prebuilt courses but use the system to hold records of the outside courses taken by our employees. Most of the courses taken are generally classroom based and thus when completed the records are added to the LMS. It was acquired to allow Department of Rail and Public Transportation to be able to easily access our training records for audits.
  • It keeps record of training well
  • Easy accessibility to your employees to change and update information
  • It is difficult to maintain when required courses of certifications are due because of the limited options available. For example, some courses or certifications are only needed once every 5 years or maybe 6 months. you are only able select 1 or 3.
  • For manually added required courses, the system does not automatically adjust due dates based on when the course is completed. For example, if an employee completes an annually required course 3 months early, the next due date does not adjust. It remains the same which throws of the scheduling for the training.
  • Requires to many clicks to accomplish simple tasks. The steps to get things done seem like too much. This may be because of the way the system was set up prior to my arrival with my company but at the moment it seems more complicated than it should be to get things done.
  • Once employees are marked as hired in the BirdDog ATS, they still have to be manually entered into the learning management side which is time consuming. This may not be a Arcoro issues as we use multiple systems for various functions but it would be nice for our ATS system and the LMS to communicate.
  • It has improved our ability to keep and maintain records.
  • It has assisted in building better training reports.
We use Arcoro for the ATS and LMS. Although it has the ability to streamline processes, it does not feel like the process has been streamlined much for us. It almost seems as though we use two different systems that do not have the ability to communicate with each other. Again, this may be a result of the fact that we use another system for hiring and completing reviews.
Mainly due to the fact that it takes too many clicks to accomplish certain tasks, the systems that we utilize lack the ability to communicate with each other which causes more work and its lack of flexibility for manually added required courses or certifications.
NEOGOV and GoSkills offers relevant preloaded courses that are of interest to our employees. The reporting ability is also more user friendly and the appearance of both platforms is better.

Since I only use the system for LMS and was not a part of the original implementation my experience with Arcoro has been limited and not the best. It works well for keeping records and tracking when training was completed but because my company does not use the system to its fullest potential it seems more complicated than it should be.
