Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, Avalara is being used by our company to calculate sales tax on our new e-commerce site!

Pros and Cons

Calculate tax by jurisdiction.
User-friendly website.
Responsive account managers.

Report building is lacking.

Return on Investment

Avalara has helped us with calculating our tax for e-commerce, which has helped us, in turn, keep in compliance when manually filing state returns across the US.

Our company set up Avalara before the current users were brought on the team. Our sales were left "uncommitted" without a real understanding of the implications of that for reporting. We hope to grow our relationship with Avalara in the future.

Likelihood to Recommend

Avalara's ability to calculate our e-commerce tax rates has been invaluable to our company. Knowing we do not have to maintain rates and jurisdictions in every state manually has allowed us to open e-commerce with less stress than anticipated.
