Overall Satisfaction with AVI-SPL

Last year, I had to give virtual and in-person instruction simultaneously. My Newline Meetup bundle helped me do that more efficiently and professionally. I was able to set up the camera to capture the view of the classroom and any in-person participants. Using Google Meet, we were able to connect with the virtual students so that the lessons could be interactive and both modes of students could interact together and feel connected. The smart TV also allows us to integrate with the whiteboard for seamless lesson activities and planning.

Pros

  • It provides virtual Learning for high quality video recording and lesson streaming.
  • It has increased technology efficiency in the classroom by helping the teacher access all online platforms and activities on one device (music, timers, noise control, Google Suites, whiteboard, videos, etc.).
  • It enables students to access technology by allowing the students to interact with the device.
  • It provides high quality lessons using technology.

Cons

  • The company is excellent and supportive.
  • It has improved classroom management by allowing for incorporating the web and whiteboard.
  • It has improved lesson quality for recording and accessing technology and/or instruction.
  • It has improved technology access for both the teacher and students as it is easy to use.
  • It has increased video quality using the Meetup bundle.
They have accessible and helpful customer service representatives. At one point, I had an issue with the software and updates, so I called AVI-SPL and the customer support representative was patient, knowledgeable, and walked me step-by-step through the process of adding the updates and solving the software issue. This process was lengthy, but, not once, did the support representative become impatient. He stayed with me the entire process and made sure the problem was solved.
When my students were in-person and virtual at the same time, I was able to use the meetup bundle video for all of my students (no matter where they were learning) to have high-quality instruction. We were able to use Google Meet for the platform while using the camera for a wide-angle view of the classroom so students were connected to each other, the teacher, and the learning process.

AVI-SPL is excellent for getting quality technology products at a good price. They had the best price for product offerings in the industry. If you need a high-quality smart TV where you will be accessing a whiteboard for writing or planning, this product has an excellent whiteboard where planning and/or notes can be saved. Also, the internal computer makes accessing the web easy. If you have little space, this product may not be the best for you due to the size. The size is great for making sure writing is legible in a large classroom or meeting space.
