Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
We use BigCommerce as our main website. We switched over from Wordpress so we can finally sell the products we carry in our brick-n-mortar store, online. Not only do we use it for our service-based business at our retail location, but now we can sell products directly from it as well. (hits two birds with one stone)
- It's very easy to use.
- The drag and drop interface is well-suited for a non-coder like me
- They integrate to a lot of other sofwares we use, like Zapier, Klaviyo etc.
- They're great for hosting hundreds - and even thousands - of skus.
- Phone support would be a big plus
- I wish their University was included with your subscription. Instead you must pay for it seperately.
- Pre-built themes have limits to how they can be coded and customized.
- It has allowed us to reach customers outside of our service zone
- Has allowed us to add an additional source of revenue to our business
- Has forced us to pay for more software since it's a Saas based e-commerce solution.
$20,000 to $100,000
So far we're finding that there's always and app available that can integrate to BigCommerce to give our site the look & feel - plus the functionality - that we're looking for. For instance, we needed a testimonials widget to show customer review on our homepage and we fournd the perfect app that works with BC. There are also great shipping, tax, and esps that integrate right to the platform, making life a lot easier.
BigCommerce combines the ease-of-use that you get form Shopify, with the ability to handle large numbers of Sku's like a custom Magento site might have.
But unlike a custom site like Magento, you don't need a coder or developer for every little change you want to make to the site. Non-techies can go into the backend and quite easily make the necessary changes/additions/updates themselves.
