Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud eTapestry

We use eTapestry to manage our donors. We can report on past events and giving, track donor history, and send communications.

  • Abundance of info to collect
  • Donor facing websites are out of date.
  • Database in not intuitive

  • It was time consuming to train people on it.
  • Has helped us acknowledge our donors by sending thank you letters and other communications.
We prefer Classy for event management and eTapestry for donor management.

We recently added another platform to use for event management. Using eTapestry to have supporters register for events was causing confusion and a lot of questions. However, eTapestry is still the better platform for collecting donor information and reporting on it.

Using Blackbaud eTapestry

2 - Our Grant Coordinator and myself (Director of Operations) use eTapestry. In the past we also had administrative assistants that were trained to use the platform to enter in donations and send thank you notes.
1 - Luckily eTapestry offers a lot of support on their end so we don't need to utilize much in house support. There are various ways to find help through live chats, articles, and training.

While I don't love the product, we have not found anything comparable to replace it at this time.

Using Blackbaud eTapestry

There is a big learning curve in eTapestry's usability. I find that eTapestry isn't intuitive and uses it's own language that can make it difficult to grasp.
