Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

NXT is mainly used by our gift officers and folks that don't need detailed reporting. I find that the capabilities of NXT are not as robust as the database view at the current time. I've been using the database view for roughly eight or more years now, and I've found that NXT just doesn't have the drill-down capabilities of Query in the database view. I do believe that one day it will be comparable to a database view and possibly even a replacement, but there is a lot of development still to do before it gets there.

  • Robust Exports.
  • Financial Reports with the same formatting as in database view.
  • The Reporting function of Fundraising has filters that don't allow drill down to the level I'd like.
  • The "view" in an individual's record isn't as nice as the database view - you have to keep scrolling.
  • Ease of use for Gift Officers.
  • Events Management to pull attendee contact information.
  • Transfer of data into the database view in a timely manner.
  • NXT is more user-friendly for folks that don't need to use the database view, so training is far easier.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of NXT's reporting capabilities compared to the database view reporting. Perhaps my gift officers feel differently; however, if they need specific reporting, they ask me to pull that out of the database view. I guess the reporting "dashboard" on NXT is much better than the dashboard in the database view.

Yes

I like that the Events within NXT allow you to easily Export the attendee data - this feature in the database view isn't as user-friendly.
