Overall Satisfaction with Braze

Braze is our main Email Service Provider. It deploys all customer communications including email, SMS, push, and in-app messages. It is easy to integrate Braze with other 3rd party services, as it offers a wide variety of ways of loading data - Snowflake Cloud Data Ingestion, API, or manual CSV uploads. The Braze documentation is detailed and their account and support management team are wonderful to work with.

  • Complex A/B testing capabilities
  • Braze is not a CRM system - managing user profiles and user history are not easy tasks within the platform.
  • Reporting is very difficult within the system. You have to create segments, export it and manipulate the file in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Link alias management - unable to use alias tags within the HTML
  • Their staging or lower testing environment is not connected with Production so you have to create everything in two app environments. Basically you cannot push content from staging to production.

The Braze team is constantly working on the platform - developing new features, updating the UI (to make it easier to use for non-technical users). The monthly calls with the Braze account management team is always very informative and they listen to their customers. Their support team is responsive and great to work with.
It is easy to create complex multi-channel drip campaigns within the platform. Their built-in AI copy writing assistant is a nice to have feature. The other feature I often use is Intelligent Timing - Use Intelligent Timing to deliver your message to each user when Braze determines that user is most likely to engage (open or click), referred to as their optimal send time. This makes it easier for you to check that you’re messaging your users at their preferred time, which can lead to higher engagement.

Braze is a powerful multi-channel marketing platform. Their team is constantly working on new features and as a Braze customer you have access to their development roadmap. Overall, I would highly recommend Braze to any small and mid-sized companies looking to streamline their customer engagement efforts and deliver personalized and relevant messaging to their customers.

Braze is complex platform with a steep learning curve but they provides support and free training for non-technical users. Their reporting capabilities are limited.
