Cisco Webex Meetings Review
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings
We use Webex as our standard collaboration tool for internal meetings and customer-facing meetings to present to our customers. My specific role is focused as a Solutions Architect and do lead with Cisco Webex as our standard meeting platform, both used by us and marketed to our customers ranging from SLED to corporate.
Pros
- Consistent audio quality
- Newly enabled co-host features
- Webex Meetings is a simple interface with everything in one view.
Cons
- Would like the "Webex Training" experience re-done as it is not very user friendly - ex: tiny icons for tasks that you use often.
- Would like to see more competitive pricing
- We would like to see fewer issues, but it is understandable that with the COVID surge it has happened to the best of us.
- There are some gaps in security. There is no way to lock an employee out of using Webex Teams with your corporate email address that has been claimed.
- We have been able to maintain our sales during the COVID pandemic.
- We have been able to secure customers in Flex plans to help secure our accounts (although most of our accounts are long term customers as we take good care of them).
- Due to some of the issues during COVID, we lost a few deals to Zoom based on poor experiences with conferences of 200+ users.
8x8 Meetings, Zoom, GoToMeeting. Zoom is likely the closest now to Webex, but only on first appearance. It does not have the security and backbone that we need. 8x8 has a cool feature where multiple users can share their screens. GoToMeeting did not match any needs.
Webex Meetings Feature Ratings
Cisco Webex Experience
We use the traditional meetings with screen sharing for our proposals, video to keep face to face during COVID, and inclusion of room kits and Webex boards with the ease of joining - the big green button.
We have combined Webex Teams, but honestly, it has some growing to do so we see many customers preferring Microsoft Teams, even if they have Webex for meetings.
We live by having the whitepapers to provide customers--need not say more.
