Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

[It's being used to] Grant remote access to workstations locally and for access to remote sites. We use this across Windows and Mac platforms.
  • Fast connection. Never laggy even from my cell phone.
  • Access to and from multiple platforms and devices.
  • Easy to manage web interface.
  • Easy to grant access from and email link.
  • More color options for branding.
  • More intuitive options for sorting and organizing agent list
  • Saves time = money for supporting users.
  • Issues can be resolved quickly and remotely.
Cost, quality, reliability
  • Is great for unattended remote access to PC/Mac/Linux.
  • Access to a tablet or kiosk - could use support for that.

Using ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

3 - Allows me quick and reliable connection from my Mac to the windows domain and workstations, Mac workstations, and our client kiosk that are distributed across the coutry
3 - Little to no skill required to use this product. I have used the personal version to assist my family. If my mom can use it.. anyone can.
  • Time - Remote desktop support saves time. (walking, driving, )
  • Efficiency - Remote tools allows the installation of software regardless of distance.
  • Inventory - I can see the inventory of machines. -Label them in human form. see who is online.
  • Access from a mobile phone - Surprisingly works really good. Would i want to spend a whole day working from a 5 inch screen no. but in a bind I have been able to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Send a link for support works. sometimes it is hard to get people to type the web address correctly but they can click on a link.
  • It would be nice to control a mobile or tablet.
  • We will likely use it remote presentations and training.
Simple, Easy to use. Functional and affordable.

Evaluating ConnectWise Control and Competitors

Yes - RDP - and nothing -- there was no real product in place outside of walking to a workstation. Connectwise control allowed us to take control a workstation easily. saves a lot of time. issues that took 10 - 15 minutes (password reset, or i can't print) now can be resolved with a few clicks

I have been using this product for years. I knew about its features and was able to convince the company to use it. One they tried the personal version the were sold.
I would not. I used it for personal use to manage my family. Glad they offered a free version.

ConnectWise Control Implementation

Be sure you have admin rights when installing - especially when using linux or mac
Not sure - We did not replace a product since there was nothing in place.
  • No issues. Pushed install using GPO
  • Some Mac workstations required elevated access.

Really do not have issues with the product. Solid product = no need for support

  • Remote support for a system that does not have Connectwise installed
  • Chat feature makes it easy to communicate
  • File transfer feature - comes in handy - No need to search for a download when I can just push the files needed
  • Getting a user to the webpage. ( but this is user error not Connectwise)
Yes - Works great. the remote mouse and screen zoom in and out makes it pretty easy to navigate a workstation or server.
