Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

It is being used across 3 organizations we have. It addresses time clock management and where employees are clocking in.
  • Ease of adding users and employees.
  • Ease of generating payroll hours.
  • Ease of editing/adding timesheets.
  • Does not cleanly interface with our payroll system (Gusto).
  • Creating default holiday pay hour rules for certain employees.
  • Location of punch ins not always easy to track.
  • Time saved entering pay.
  • Saved money by having accuracy of hours.
  • More satisfied employees because pay is more accurate.
Deputy is much more user friendly and robust in what can be done with it.

Very straightforward navigation.
It took a couple of days to train everyone and that was just because not everyone was in at the same time. Very easy to implement.
In general I think it is a great platform to use for small to large businesses as different departments can be created, different user roles can be created, and the system is easy to navigate. It would be nice if location restrictions could be put on for mobile phone punch ins (we don't like this option, but sometimes there is a line for people punching in at computer terminals).

Using Deputy

1 - Deputy is very easy to manage. The ability to manage user functionality (ways to punch in/out, location tracking, etc) is very simple. Because of the simplicity, there is not a lot of skill required to support/manage Deputy internally.

  • Location tracking to maintain/enhance employee compliance
  • Customized reporting for overall time tracking to compare pay periods

  • Great benchmark for other time tracking systems
We have been very happy with Deputy and its capabilities; the only reason it is an 8 is that we are looking at fully integrated time tracking with our HR software.

Combination of price and customer reviews is what led to us choosing Deputy in 2019. We also did extensive review to make sure the usability was easy for implementation and employee adoption.
We wouldn't have changed anything; it was a smooth launch.
