Overall Satisfaction with DocuSign

At Optiv, we use DocuSign for any legal, HR documents. The HR department sent the documents to me during my onboarding and it was a pretty smooth process. It is better as opposed to sending employment letters, etc. through USPS. I think the main problem it solves is streamlining the process and the speed of the process.
  • Speed
  • Streamlined process
  • Easy to use
  • Some people are uncomfortable with e-signing
  • Not appropriate for every industry
  • May face some reluctant people
  • Cost of postage
  • Speed of process
  • May cause a legal discrepancy
I think it is pretty easy to use from an end-user perspective. When I receive a document I need to sign, I know straight from the beginning which area I need to sign. There is the possibility of designing a signature automatically for you which is pretty convenient and accelerates the process.
As an end-user, I do not deal with support directly. However, I know that my company had a problem once regarding sending out a document that was not received and they were able to engage with the support team and fix the problems in a timely manner. To that extent, I think they have a good overall support.
I have never used any competition of Docusign so I could not tell you how they stack up against them. I think there are several alternatives like Adobe Echosign, HelloSign, Authentisign, and ESignlive, but I have never used any of those. That being said, that makes Docusign a leader in my head since its the only one I have ever come across.
I think Docusign is really well suited for any employee working remotely that who needs to sign a lot of documents during the onboarding process. Another situation would be to sign any employment letters and such. I don't know how much it is appropriate for the legal industry and the formal document that lawyers send.
