Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for Office 365
Overall Satisfaction with Exclaimer
Having used Exclaimer at previous companies over the last half decade, I was happy to see it in use when joining at my current company. The ability to centrally manage and deploy a consistent standard signature alone with very minimal effort is valuable. After the removal of the on premise edition, I was disappointed as the cost of an opex is often seen as less favorable due to the impact on EBITDA.
Upon reviewing multiple vendors, Exclaimer - feature for feature - was competitively priced, as they gave us both an appropriate volume discount as well as being a current customer moving from a product they removed support for.

- Pros
- By far the absolute easiest SaaS - or any application - I have ever integrated into M365/Azure AD
- Exclaimer knocked this out of the park with VERY easy onboarding support and an application that automatically handles what is otherwise time consuming configurations spanning Enterprise Applications and Exchange Administrative tasks
- Feature rich
- There are VERY few situations we have found that Exclaimer can't do what we want it to, and those are only due to limitations of Microsoft 365, not Exclaimer
- Verbose support / KB articles
- Cons
- Expensive - by far the highest priced option out there - but you do get what you pay for
- Opex only - this is an issue I've seen become the norm in the software and SaaS space however, so not that surprising
- Support isn't amazing, but I have also worked with worse - and their onboarding team WAS very good
- Onboarding support and assistance
- Automated integration with Azure/M365
- Feature rich options that go beyond simple signature management
- Cost - I'd love to see it be a little more competitive with key competitors
- Support - the after sales support (and after implementation support) leaves a bit to be desired
- Capex? I'd love to see them offer capex models in some fashion, though again this becomes the industry norm
- Time saving and simplicity of management has been a positive
- ROI is harder in our specific industry as we do not directly obtain new clients from marketing in the way other industries might
- Regulatory compliance helps when it's as straight forward and definitively ensured
- Branding and Marketing have a lot more options - more than they can even use right away
We've leveraged different signatures for different users/departments, and allowed our Marketing department direct control over the creation and layout instead of requiring an IT member to perform or assist. We have started deploying appointment bookings, and are starting to investigate the additional marketing enhancements available. It does take a bit to deploy, but that is more due to internal red tape and procedures than Exclaimer.
The ability to quickly validate the application for use against our regulatory and compliance requirements was helpful.
Exclaimer was the most costly option even after volume discounts and as an existing customer. It edges out the others in the simplicity of deployment and account management.
Technically, all of the things - or most of the things - that Exclaimer can do, you can also do directly inside Exchange Online / M365 - however it would take a full time employee to manage and maintain, additional hosting systems, and likely a custom built application or script to utilize.
