Overall Satisfaction with Google Surveys

It's a fantastic way to collect information from a group of people. It's very easy for people to use. It displays the information in a really easy format. I love how you can compile all the answers to one question together or view each submission in its entirety. It's my go-to way to send out a survey as people are so familiar with it.
  • Compile all responses to one question/prompt
  • Easy share settings to limit or be open access
  • Separate submissions by each responder
  • If using quiz format, you can pre-select the correct answer so students can receive automatic results
  • More customization with the style (colors, images, etc.)
  • Export options to automatically create graphics and other visual aids of responses
  • Integration into Google Presentation where during a live presentation, viewers could answer a poll using the Google Survey platform
  • High ROI since it's a free service
  • High ROI since it's easy to use with little to no training
Most people use Google or have an account which makes it very easy for them to use. SurveyMonkey is also easy but lacks some of the integration that Google Surveys offers. Google Surveys has a feature where it can send the user a record of their responses. This is not a feature I have seen with SurveyMonkey.

It's ridiculously easy to use. There is nothing to figure out. When you click on a survey link, it brings you right there, and it's simple to fill out the questions and prompts. The versatility is one of the many features that makes Google Surveys the go-to for creating surveys.
I have not needed to use any support for Google Surveys. It's well crafted, so not needing this feature speaks to how easy and bug-free the software is to implement as a creator and fill out as a user. If there was a feature, I wanted to use but didn't know how a quick Google search offered me an answer.
Trying to collect information from a large group of people is the perfect situation where Google Surveys is useful. For example, if trying to get feedback on a course, this can be a great way to collect anonymous thoughts on a class, including what was helpful and what could be improved. It's also helpful when trying to order merchandise for a group. You can ask for shirt size, shipping address, and email address. Then it's all collected in an easy-to-read format. It's great there are features to block people from submitting the survey twice as well.

A scenario where it might be less appropriate is if it's for medical research, I don't think Google products are approved for HIPPA sensitive information or would be approved by an IRB.
